help please...need to fit a set of BS blades. precision rifle or tour flighted rifles set 3-PW .355 taper tips standard 5i 37.75" at least or overlength...no extensions please don't care about grips. thanx. [email protected]

now this may be a baseless quote but i really think Japan offerings are truly superior in craftsmanship and quality...you won't see thin chrome or leadplugs to get the heads to spec. some of the newer Nippon offerings look great ie: epon but i haven't had the $$$ to splurge on a test. haven't hit any of the later miura offerings since i went on a tourstage binge the last 3 years... sold all my BS & TS sets except for ts-202's...and imo, there is a big difference in feel between BS and TS forgings. i love the look and feel of endo forgings though it may be a little clicky to some. i'm hitting nike blades currently and they have the same feel since i believe they were also endo forged (in china or thailand i think)...some later titleist forgings are also endo. i'd probably play mizuno's regularly if they didn't wear as easily as they do...i had 2 sets of mp-32's this season and although they felt very soft, i decided better to sell them before they got all rusted in the sweetspot (which hurts resale). certain TM forgings are also extremely soft...especially the tour stuff. my old set of firesole forgeds were miura. surprisingly, the retail rac tp's felt close but i don't know where they were made. there are 2 traits of the miura's that i remember...well-defined brushmarks in the satin chrome and the deep, sharp grooves on all the irons...it was a pleasure to hit out of rough and still get the ball to stop somewhat. off the FW, a clean strike from a mid iron would actually take some cover off...never experienced that with any other iron...i regret selling my original combo set but my ball striking skills have improved lately and i feel i can do them justice this time. :tsg_smilie_whistle: it's all down to personal preference, brand loyalty and resale value if you like to rotate your clubs.

i never had scratch irons but did have a scratch proto raw wedge...very soft. as for the miuras, i didn't think i'd win...i fully expected them to get to at least $600 i emailed bill holowaty at miura na to see if these were the model that became the nike/miura proto half cavity's...they look very similar.

i was the guy that won the ebay auction...sorry :tsg_smiley_embarrassed: thought you might've gotten the itch for a combo set after i showed you my old set on GO... for feel, imo the miz and miura feel almost the same in regards to softness. but the tolerances and finish on the miuras is MUCH better...chrome doesn't brown as easily as miz' and headweights are consistant. and the miura's have the BEST brushed satin finish i've ever seen on an iron.

i know you're thinking about doing a combo set...right?

anyone have a new untipped v2 66 lying around? need a tip to (bottom of silver) graphic to check if a S pullout has been tipped at all. and while we're at it... want to install in a cally original erc Ti (NOT fusion or ercII) 3+wd. comments on insert depth and whether or not i should tip it? is the erc Ti a low-spin/hi launch head or vice versa, etc? would this be a good combo? my ss is ~98-102 driver 250yds fyi...
