Is my grip slipping?
I'm starting to wonder if my hands are slipping on the club at the top of my swing. I'm noticing that where my thumbs are (this is where my club pro told me to place my hands, so the v's from my thumbs and pointer fingers are pointing to my right shoulder) the grip is getting torn up. My thumbs have no blisters, so it could even be the grip, but it's a Golf Pride. Any thoughts?

Bunker Play- Need Help!!!1
Be fearless. I too had this problem, but I don't worry anymore. Now, I use a 60* and I don't open the face. I just take a full swing and hit 1 1/2 to 2 inches behind the ball. It come out with alot of spin, and I've gotten up and down 9 out of the 12 times I've tried this new technique

What kind of car do TSGers drive?
italianstallion replied to zojo's post in a topic in Out of Bounds: Lifestyle, Luxury, Autos, Hobbies, High Tech GearAriel Atom 2 Good car, but it goes fast due to it's size, it's like that Susuki Hyabusa crotch rocket. That bike has an engine with the same power as a honda civic, but since it weights so little, it can reach speeds over 200 MPH, making it the fastest production bike in the world. Imagine this. Take that clown car out on the road. You stop at a red light behind an 18 wheeler. Then another 18 wheeler comes up from behind you, fails to stop (brake malfunction, or the driver was high as a kite), and CRUNCH!!! Next thing you know, they're pickin' up your pieces in the street.

World's Tallest and Fastest Roller Coaster
italianstallion replied to italianstallion's post in a topic in Out of Bounds: Lifestyle, Luxury, Autos, Hobbies, High Tech GearStrange but true. The cars have little clearance between the track, a few inches. So a little loose track can cause a major malfunction. Luckily, nobody was on the ride since it was testing for the day.

italianstallion replied to italianstallion's post in a topic in Out of Bounds: Lifestyle, Luxury, Autos, Hobbies, High Tech GearUpdate on Kingda Ka. Apparently, the launch cable did not break. What happened was on the launch track, where the cable located, some bolts were loose. This caused the train to hit the track, taking out many magnetic brakes (they are lowered into the track for launch, and brought right back up after the train is through the launch mode. Kingda Ka is designed to just make it over the hill. In the morning and at night, when it's cool, the track expands, causing more resistance during launch, which can cause the train to roll backwards off the hill becasue of inadiqute speed. Perfectly normal.). Anyway, these brakes are custom made in switzerland, and must be made again. The portion of the track hit by the train needs to be replaced, and a whole new testin phase will begin (usually a month). So, we are looking at Kingda Ka to reopen sometime in August. Sorry to all you thrill junkies.

Satyuros's Canadian bought Bag of Junk! (FINALLY! IMAGES!)
Nice Bag. Just get a new shaft for the R7, and you'll be G2G (good two go). The HALO is a sweet club, I love mine, r flex as well (didn't get the stiff because who swings out of their shoes on anything other than a driver?). Good luck, great bag, nice putter.

Cutting shaft
If I cut the shaft off my 46 inch NV 75 stiff, will this lead to a stifffer shaft? Would I be able to control the shots better?

italianstallion replied to italianstallion's post in a topic in Out of Bounds: Lifestyle, Luxury, Autos, Hobbies, High Tech GearAgree with you there. Cedar Point is THE BEST park in the world. I has all the types of coasters. I also agree about the chain lift thing, more anticipation (millennium force's is so quiet and quick!). Only thing I hate about Magnum XL200 is the seat restraints. They hurt going over the hills because they are so hard and skinny. Cedar Point is rumored to be working on a 500+ footer for 2006, read here at the bottom of the page. http://www.screamscape.com/html/cedar_point.htm KingdaKa suffered a huge setback on June 8th, when the launch cable snapped. It will be closed, according to the park, for several weeks.

What kind of car do TSGers drive?
italianstallion replied to zojo's post in a topic in Out of Bounds: Lifestyle, Luxury, Autos, Hobbies, High Tech GearDid they rebuild the motors? I read in one of the picture books from the movie that all the cars were stock. In 2 fast, the supra had a visible engine, which was really a picture of a tuned up engine, that's on the DVD.

What kind of car do TSGers drive?
italianstallion replied to zojo's post in a topic in Out of Bounds: Lifestyle, Luxury, Autos, Hobbies, High Tech GearThe good is a Toyota Supra with all the goodies. Yes, the supra is nice. But, all cars from the fast and the furious (which that supra is) and 2 fast 2 furious were stock engines to cut down on the cost of making the film so everyone else can get paid more. In each movie, 4 or 5 different cars were used that resembled the car you have posted. In 2 Fast, 2 Furious, the Skyline GTR had 4 identical copies.

Vintage Macgregor putter
Okay, so I'm searching around my grandsma's basement when I stumble over an old MacGregor putter. I ask my grandma if I can have it, and being the nice italian lady she is, gives it to me. I tried it out and it doesn't work that great, but I heard there is alot of CASH in vintage club sales, you guys have any ideas on its worth? It's like the kind you find at a mini golf place. It's got blue lettering on the bottom and blue and green colors in the design on the grip. Any idea what it is? It doesn't say what type of macgregor putter it is. I'm going to post this in the general golf forum as well Sorry, no pics.

What kind of car do TSGers drive?
italianstallion replied to zojo's post in a topic in Out of Bounds: Lifestyle, Luxury, Autos, Hobbies, High Tech GearNice ride. I'm glad you didn't put that $$$ into a Civic, like stated above. You bought a good car, then did something with it. About those Civics, I dislike those type of people too. The only cars I wouldn't mind getting that done to include Skyline GTR Supra RX7 (RX 8 too) 350 Z A great car you can really tune, even though american is one of the new GTOs. 350 hp corvette engine, you can work with it.

italianstallion replied to zojo's post in a topic in Out of Bounds: Lifestyle, Luxury, Autos, Hobbies, High Tech GearIf one of these guys is serious, it will. Between paint, body kit, interior goodies, sound system, under the hood, wheels, tires, spoiler, neon lights, and the intial cost of the vehicle: it can easilly get close.

What kind of car do TSGers drive?
italianstallion replied to zojo's post in a topic in Out of Bounds: Lifestyle, Luxury, Autos, Hobbies, High Tech GearDoubleAA: They guy next door also has 2 dodge challengers. They guy two doors down has a 1970 Mach 1 Mustang that he and I are currently restoring (this car flies!). Guy across the street owns a 1986 convertible vette, and the guy next to him owns a 2004 BMW Z4. Now, the only way I'm gonna beat these guys is if I get this ZO6. I heard the new vettes are a little slow off the line, but really make up for it. One thing I don't understand. There's these Teens that soup up import cars, you know. They strap on a muffler, supercharge the engine, put body kits on, blah blah blah. Now why do they spend so much cash on these upgrades on a Honda or Eclipse when they can just buy an old muscle car or even a new vette and go much faster. Heck, they can get the vette up to over 200 mph with some minor tune ups. But, these best year for cars was from the mid 50s to the late 70s. Classic designs (I wet myself at the sight of an old Cadillac) and fast engines, put into super light cars known as Muscle cars, all for a relatively cheap price, made this era great. But, it died off in the 80s, when cars turned into boxes with sharp corners and such (the only two cars that came out of this time in good shape for the future was the Vette and Camero). Now, a good performance car will cost you an easy $25,000, much more realitively compared to the era described. Vettes are near and dear to me (that sounds cheesy, I know). I've like them since I knew what a car was. My friend's dad knows the guy who owns the prototype corvette, which I have been in. It has no seat belts. This past year, on my tour of Ohio and Illinnois, I made sure we went the 250 miles out of our way to Bowling Green, KT, where the Corvette is made. They were making the new models, and I vowed then and there I would get one of the ZO6s when they came out. I just can't decide between the blue, yellow, or sunset orange. I think I'll end up going with the yellow. But, my family is not rich by any means. They just figure it's better to pay the $55,000 for the Vette rather than the $120,000 for college, I'm on my own for med school (radiology).

women allowed to play in 2006 British Open
italianstallion replied to Sgt_Slaughter's post in a topic in Out of Bounds: Lifestyle, Luxury, Autos, Hobbies, High Tech GearI'm split on this womens thing (i'm also against 15 year olds trying to make the cut on a PGA tour event without every having won a LPGA tour event. Also, she would take away a cut position for the guys busting their butts out there trying to support a family while realizing a dream they've worked many years for). I say let them try though, but like Mike said, they're just being set up for failure.

TWIN TOWERS rebuild proposal || ||
italianstallion replied to DoubleAA's post in a topic in Out of Bounds: Lifestyle, Luxury, Autos, Hobbies, High Tech GearGreat point Mike. Sorry about your loss hip check. My dad went down there a few days after the attack, and he said it was straight out of a movie. It almost didn't seem real. Seeing twisted metal and smoke rising for many months. I remember there was this one satelite image of NYC on the day of the attack. You could see the smoke coming from those ruins from space. :wah: It boggles the mind to think that one human being can do this to another. It's such a sick way of thinking, it's being a coward, and a fool. To think that your God wants to to kill thousands, and ruin other people's lives, is just sick. :yuk: There are many stories from that day. One that I think is amazing is the one about the mother who left for work in the towers, but forgot to give her children a kiss goodbye. Well, she amazingly turned around and went back to say goodbye. Had she not done that, she would've been lost.
