  1. Who is the coolest person besides myself...
  2. That stuff was insanely expensive... I would rather send it out that way I have someone less to yell at when it sucks... yeah I'm an optimist :?
  3. They do powder coatings... which are cool for driver heads, but putters I don't know about. Anyone got any pics of powder coated putters the pics on thier website suck.
  4. hmmm... powder coating is damn expensive... I got the idea from my NP 1.5 Proto which has the black shadow on the shaft. So I guess its possible.

Yeah it was a little warmer here (I am in Philly for the holidays) and when I went to the range I could actually notice the ball flying slower. It was real wierd looking. As for the $1 refills... There have been days when I have showed up as they were opening and they had to tell me to leave. There have been a few days where I have hit atleast a 1000 balls. In a 1000 ball day you will lose and find your swing more times than the average rec. golfer does in a lifetime!

I would tend to say higher and farther... the mats allow your club to slide under the ball more easily. Where as with grass it gets held up a little more. I hit off mats all the time my local range has a xl bucket, $13 200+balls $1 refills but you have to hit of the mat. Quantity versus Quality... quantity wins this time!

I was thinking of getting a NP 2.5 and having the whole thing, shaft and and head done in a 3x black. Is this possible? Or could I just order a black shaft from somewhere without it being graphite?
  8. I haven't picked it up yet but it got refered to me... Butch Harmon's "Playing Lessons" I was told he goes through 18 holes with a 0-9, 9-18, 18+ handicappers and gives you the perspective and course management each of them should be trying accomplish.
  9. well right now my swing is really inconsistent... when I really buckle down and really go at it I get up to 115, when I put a solid swing together its 109, when I suck its 98 on average...
  10. With the current shaft I tend to hit it too high, with a little sloppy swing resulting in a balloon. I would like to bring the shot down a little and keep ballooning to a minimum. Over all I don't feel this stock shaft working for me at all, it just feels dead and uinresponsive. I also want to go with something heavier to help me drop it into the slot. SS:100-110
  11. so you think I should go Reg and stick in all the way... hehehe that sounds sooo dirty!!
  12. well I suggested going to a Reg flex to compensate, but he said the problem was more with the kick point. He said it totally throughs the kick point out of the window and all the high tech engineered goodness that we pay for. In other words it turns it into an expensive wooden stick and you lose any sort of advantage in playing a graphite shaft. Does this sound right?
  13. So I went to talk to the clubbuilder who I went to for a fitting about getting an NV in 983K. He said it would be a very bad idea. He said since it is a bore through head it will turn the shaft into a telephone pole. He also said Aldila is making an NV for Titliest that is suited for a bore through, but it probably wouldn't be available till next year. The other glimmer of hope he gave me was that he could possibly chop the shaft that is in it now and put the aldila on top of that so its just like a regular shaft insertion. I know some of you guys said you had success with the NV and the 983... so whats the deal? Is this guy full of it or is he right? I am not sure I want to take a gamble on this Titliest NV what other shafts would work well in this head? I am looking for something with a mid-high or high kick.
  14. I just read 100% golf by leadbetter... pretty good. Covers everything from swing mechincs to short game.
  15. I ahve really been studying Ben Hogans Five Lessons. He teaches the overlap... I was swinging with it at the range a litte... I think it helps balance my hands, restrains the right hand from overpowering the left. I am going to work more on the overlap and maybe switching... Ben Hogan himself started interlocking and then went to the overlap.
  16. Aw man Primo, must be something in the air!!! I am going through the same thing over here. Its funny how much I have seen parallel's in your game resencently (your scores are a little low than mine but on the curve its all the same)... We both started taking long term lessons, had success right off the bat, now things are falling apart  I worked on my grip got it to a more convental style. I still rock the interlock. I thought about switching to an overlap but it just didn't feel right. The most important thing is that your hands feel natural on the club. If you don't trust your grip nothing will work.
  17. Is there any sort of press release of product sheet for them? I mean I am thinking of getting some just for the hell of it, but I want to be able to back myself up when my playing partners give me s**t about them. Can the rubber tips be reused if the tee breaks?
  18. I am very curious... what is the advantage of the rubber crown?
  19. Thanks for preying on the weak!!! hehehe Don't I already own enough of your clubs... hehe Actually I have a Steelhead which is really easy to hit to, if you don't completely miss the ball heel side!!! YIKES!! In my quest to develope an inside swing plane I have managed to learn how to hit a mean push!!! If its not slicing from the over the top its pushing from this!! I hate the right side of the golf course!! hehehe Yeah I have kinda put the breaks on my aggressive training. I am limiting myself to everyother day at the range! The other days I am at the gym... this will give me some rest from golf, keep me sane, and keep my waist line in check! Everyone wins! I am going to purchase a Swing jacket as I posted in the other thread, I feel that this will maximize my practice time b/c it seems my common problem is allowing my arms to separated from my body. This is when I start hitting six inches behind the ball and want to bend my club around my head!
  20. My idea came because I am an excellent Ultimate (frisbee) players. And to throw a disc right handed requires the same shoulder turn as a left handed golf shot. anyhow I think I am going to stick to the right side, mainly for the clubs, but I had some success with a grip change tonight! There is HOPE!
  21. I was just thinking I might be a lefty... I mean how would I know I never tried life on the other side of the ball. It feels pretty good when I swing a club lefty... has anyone on here ever switched sides. What are some ways to tell if I might be lefty?

Thanks man... In my living room tonight, with a wedge and some wiffle balls, I worked on my grip. It seemed to actually help a lot with my ball striking, which is my greatest battle.

yeah I think I am going to take a break for a day or two. I am just frustrating myself.

I am getting really frustrated with my swing... There is such a lack of consistency with my swing from day to day. I think one of the issues holding me back is I don't know what I should be feeling. What I should be focusing on. I know there are a lot of these swing pyschology videos, Swing the Shaft... Aj's whatever... you know the ones. Anyhow are any of them worth a look?
  25. When I regrip I think I'll be doing the same. That way it won't be bothersome when I want to lay my wedge open for a flop or some sand.
