I was interested in the 2008 Viq fairway woods. Haven't really seen any reviews or feedback about them. Anyone have this in play. I was thinking about a 4 wood. I was curious about ballflight and distance. Also want to find out how it compares to the x-drive gr fairway (though that only is avail in a 3 or 5 wood). Any response or information would be helpful. Thanks in advance. I currently use a Titleist 904f 17* with the stock speeder in a stiff flex. Normal distance is 220 -230 carry with a mid-trajectory. My misses tend to be nasty hooks off the deck. Off a tee this club is still solid.
  2. Thanks! Must visit there soon.
  3. Where exactly is Par72golf located?

Hey shinichi, (thank you again for the shaft - put it into the x-drive and still a work in progress) I have always had better success with a 4 wood vs a 3-5 wood. I currently am using a 904f 17* with stock stiff speeder shaft. Probably my go to club for the moment. Distance with that club is consistantly 240 carry teed up. Problem I have is I hit it as far or just short of my previous driver and its more consistant. The x-drive is definately longer, just having some swing and control problems with it. back to the topic at hand, I also picked up bogeydog's GFT 4-wood (thanks bogeydog). Ball flight is higher and distance is about 20 yards shorter, but that is probably more to do with the shaft (code8). Also am hooking the ball on a regular basis with it - again I plan to change out that shaft (have a v 6070 that I'll probably try). For comparative purposes, I also use a X-UT 21* nspro stiff that I carry 210. I haven't hit the 17* but would expect it to fall in between - for me it would probably be close to the GFT 4 wood set-up I have now. Not too sure if it would be 20 yards longer than the 17* though. Using a 4 wood in my case, just simplified my bag for me. Distance gaps work out just fine and I'm able to use 1 club both off a tee and the deck.

Wanted to buy the head from the pro shop but was told they are sold out. Looking for head only, but complete club is also OK. Looking for "very good" condition on up. I'll be on vacation the next few days getting some golf in on Maui. Hopefully I'll be able to check if anything's available.
  6. Go to www.nomadgolf wrx for more info. Just a regular raw mp mizuno wedge with a special grind and porting done to it. They really do excellent work. I play with 51* and 57* Cleveland's with similar work done. Helps control ballflight and makes it very easy to square the clubface. The grind also allows for more shot options. They offer other brands as well. Some on auction can be had at a very reasonable cost.

Just wanted to add Mach Line 5250 or 5040 to the above, though I may just purchase this from this sites pro shop at a later time, as its a bit more reasonable. But if anyone has a used one that they want to part with, let me know.

Currently playing a 6066 in a R5 TP 10.5, and am doing just fine with it. Just got a X-Drive 460 head and wanted to install a similar shaft, just a little lighter so I can get my swing speed up. Normal swing speed for me is 90 - 95 mph, smooth to a little quick tempo so I'm usually between a regular and stiff. Not in any rush to put this together, just checking if anything is available. I live in Hawaii and I can paypal funds.
