Quality of Japanese Clubs
Wow, great stuff. LOL. This is the post I've been waiting for.

Mizuno MX-500
Don't go with the TM's. I'm so sick of hearing about Taylor Made Drivers. I've hit them many times and I havn't been too impressed. I know that's gonna step on some toes around here, but oh well. Out of those Drivers, I don't think you could go wrong with the Cleveland or the Mizuno. I've only hit a few Callaway drivers, so I don't know much about them. I like the Cleveland drivers a lot, and I use the MP-001 10 degree right now. I like it, but I think I'll be getting a new driver some time this year as well.

Quality of Japanese Clubs
With the irons and putters, I don't think who makes it matters as much as with the driver. Like taipanli said, the performance can probably be seen more in the drivers and fairway woods that come from japan. I also know that the japanese iron sets look better than what is sold in the states, but I havn't used any of the sets so I don't know how they perform. I'm really thinking about saving up for the PRGR T3 Black though. That driver looks really sweet to me. I hope someone who really know the truth about Mizuno or any other manufacturer chimes in here soon, because I really want to know what the deal is. Brands that are sold both in Japan and the U.S. are equal or not?

Quality of Japanese Clubs
Yeah, I think it's all getting very confusing. How do you justify the markup of the Mizuno's. They are all made the same right? IMO, golf is just like the other things in life. Everyone forgets about the meaning or purpose; people get selfish, greedy, etc... and now we (consumers) are very confused because on one side we know about mark-ups for advertising and clubs being made cheaply, but on the other side, we don't even know if spending the extra money is worth it because we don't even know where all the equipment is coming from. We just go off of what we are told or by what we think is true. There is no question about equipment made exclusively in Japan compared to other places. It's just better! But where do we draw the line? Are Mizunos sold in the U.S. the same as those sets sold in Japan? This question could be used with many brands and many different products. Manufacturers, Retail Stores, etc... want us to be in the dark. Am I wrong?

Help w/ Custom Mizuno order
Great looking setup man! Looks good. Why the combo in the irons? I notice a lot of people doing that, but what is the main purpose or purposes?

Como!Come! putter covers from Japan!
Nice covers. Will they be coming up with different designs or can you have one customized?

Yamaha Inpres 2006!
Those clubs look pretty sweet. Especially the iron and wedge. What will they run and when will they be available?

The New PRGR T3 Profile Pics!
I think this is one of the best looking drivers I've seen. Simple but pimp. It just looks like it launches the ball on it's own. Anybody have a review on the Black?

Super bowl picks?
sniperjoe replied to sniperjoe's post in a topic in Out of Bounds: Lifestyle, Luxury, Autos, Hobbies, High Tech GearI can't believe the Colts lost to the Chargers. The Colts came out with no intensity and played like crap. The Chargers played like it was the last game of there lives practically. LOL.

Super bowl picks?
sniperjoe replied to sniperjoe's post in a topic in Out of Bounds: Lifestyle, Luxury, Autos, Hobbies, High Tech GearI like the Bears too. My family on my moms side is from Chicago so we've always been Cubs and Bears fans. I have a feeling that it will be the Colts and the Seahawks.

Yes Tracey Putter
Seriously. These C-groove putters are no joke. These putters give you so much confidence, and what I like the most is the fact that distance control is so easy and it rolls true every time. I've sold my Callaway Tour Blue TT1 and TT2, my '04 Scotty Cameron Newport 2, and my White Steel 2 Ball. The only putter that I held on to besides my Tracy is the Pixl L1.8 putter with the metal pixls. That putter is awesome too.

Srixon W505 ranked No.1 in Japan for conforming drivers
Drivers are a strange thing in golf. There are a lot of good drivers, but nobody seems to overly excited about there driver. Chris can't decide which one he likes the best, acrazygolfer doesn't sound too excited about this Srixon either. Everybody just says that they have a good driver. LOL. Taylor made has the largest following probably for drivers, but still, you don't really hear anyone rant and rave about their drivers, no matter what brand it is. People get much more attatched to their irons and putters. Why is this?

Some new Driver images! XD435 and T3 Black!
I think the T3 looks awesome. I really don't think the X-Drive looks that great compared to the other drivers out there. It's been said before, there are way too many good drivers out there, and it might just come down to an individuals preference on looks. I know I'm big on how things look and it plays a big role in confidence and pride in your clubs.

Japanese vs. Other manufacturers?
Yea, people don't know anything about what you just said. I didn't know until I really started researching to find the best clubs possible. I only recently heard about the mark up and that was because I found this site. The normal golfer first of all doesn't care enough to find or pay for better equipment. The equipment they use is just fine for them. The people that are on this site actually care a lot about their game and want to do anything possible to get better. That's the difference. You can also relate it to people buying Fords. Fords are big pieces of doo doo! :tsg_smiley_yes: Yet, people continue to buy them because they've been in the family for generations. Kinda the same thing with the clubs; Grandpa used Hogan, Dad used Hogan, etc..... Also, to most people, even the ones who know about the superior club making in Japan, it's not worth the extra money or the time because they think to themselves, "How much better would my golf game be with that equipment?" It's a leap of faith I guess.

I'm a little confused!
Thanks guys. Does anyone else feel weird spending this kind of cash without testing the equipment first. I'm not saying that it's not all good equipment, but when you spend this much money it would be good to buy the best fit for your game. Does everyone bother Joe Kwok about this? I guess people just already know what weight, torque, kickpoint, loft, etc.... to get, so this may not be a problem for some people. I just need to learn more about the technical aspects of golf. Thanks again.

I'm a little confused!
Hey all! This is my first post and I've only just discovered TourSpec and Japanese steel. LOL. All of the equipment made in Japan looks like better quality and it's all very tempting. Like I've read in other posts; just charge it up and hide it from the wives, right? I don't really have a problem with spending the extra money on this equipment except for the fact that I don't get to test any of it out, and how do I know what will suit my game the best. ie. Shafts, Loft, Irons, etc..... Right now, I have Mizuno MP-30's with TT Dynamic Gold S300's, MP-001 10 degree with a Fujikura Vista Pro 70 stiff flex shaft, and the MP-001 3 & 5 fairway woods with the Exsar 60 stiff shafts (stock Mizuno shafts). I also use the Yes Tracy 35" putter, which by the way is the best putter in America right now. My swing speed is between 106 to 110 mph, and gets a little quicker each year. I've been playing for 3 years now self taught and have about a 10 handicap. I plan on getting very good in this game and I think it's very possible, but in order to do that I need the best equipment possible for my game. So, there it is. I want the best equipment for my game and according to this forum, Japan is where I can find this equipment. Now, how do I begin without trying it all out. Especially the shafts! What weight, torque, kickpoint, etc...... I would really appreciate your help and thanks for your time.
