custom fitting and puring? (HELP)
It really matters what your preception is of the clubmaker. Does he have a reputation for high quality work? Have you seen his work? He probably determines his prices based on the market price and his own self-value. Also, you can't compare prices where you live to prices in the US. We generaly have lower cost goods. By the way, whether he has a $20,000 computer or not, it shouldn't reflect how good or a clubmaker he is.. Don't forget, no matter how much you test shafts with all these gizmos, no 2 shafts will feel the same no matter what the specs say. Thats why the pros go by feel, not by stats.

tour issue mp 60
The difference between the "Tour Van" issue MP60's and the retail is that the "Tour Van" irons are not assembled until the tour player asks for them. There is no discrimination on quality. Also, the tour player can have different custom options not available to the US customer. This includes name, different paint fills, extreme grinds, shafts, etc... Although, TSG can order most of these options thru Mizuno for you.

Mizuno MP003 Driver w/PICS
The JPX will definitely not come to the IS. The MP-003 is supposed to come here. They have not agreed on the name or colour yet. It may not change, but who knows.

Mizuno MP003 Driver w/PICS
Don't expect to see it in the States before August, if at all. Mozuno USA may not be ready for it. Still trying to market the MX-500!

I'm a little confused!
I agree. Stay away from the Exsar shafts. Way to soft.

New Mizuno Japan Driver - MP003
Hi Everyone, The driver is going to be available at the PGA show in Jan. here in the U.S., but we all think it won't be release here until Aug. The weights are adjustable. They won't tell us if the crown is carbon or Ti. Shaft variants are as they are for the MX-500, just check out the web-site. They tell us it is not a carbob toe, as it is a MP driver. By the way, this is the first that I heard of the toe being closed according to lofts(not standard MP practice). I'll find out later. FW is re-named F-50 from what we've been told. Could be wrong.

I'm a little confused!
Switch the MP-30's for the new 60's. Much better feel. The MP-001 driver is good but not our finest moment, and not with that shaft. The FW's are great with a heavier shaft. By the way, the Miz shafts are made by Miz, not by Fuji, as I am often asked that question.

Macgregor Japans NVG2 Series
Extremely LOUD! The Mac rep has it and you need ear-plugs. Easy to hit though.

Japanese vs. Other manufacturers?
It is without a doubt, that the Japanese produce the best quality golf equipment available. There is no question that their prices are justifiable. How is it then, that any golfer worth his/her game can honestly pay for U.S. companies equipment knowing that the price reflects advertising dollars spent as oppossed to Japanese R&D dollars? The quality is far inferior and the mark-up is rediculous. I am on the inside so I know the cost per unit.[/color]

Buying clubs without trying
C'mon guy's, I know all of you can find a manufacturers' professional club-fitter day in your area. The pro's do it for the same reason you should; It works! No extra money and the clubs are built to your exact specs.

Buying clubs without trying
You can go to Club-fitting demo days organized by different golf shops in your area. Go to a manufacturer's web-site and click on the demo-day link. It will tell you where and when. Be cautioned though, not all company reps are professional club-fitters. They will just get you to try there clubs and recomend standard specs. In So. Cal., only Mizuno and Ping have certified club-fitters. Hope this make you club buying earier
