  1. I think I will give them a shot, so I ordered a set for Pro Combos. Just looking for a little more "stout" from the shaft. Might not be for awhile, but I will follow up w/ my impressions once I get the set done.
  2. Has anyone experimented w/ the True Temper TX Tour shafts? Looks to be a similar shaft to the TX-90, but w/ a different bend profile. Probably more like DGS? Thinking of getting a set to throw in some Pro Combo heads. Wanted to see if anyone has opinions first. Thanks!
  3. right now, mine is (heel to toe) 12-4-2-8 A little heavier SW and a low, draw bias. Working pretty good right now.
  4. good point. got one for sale? Nope. I hate to admit it, but both primary and back-up are Taylor Made now. I have to be honest that I didn't give the 983 a fair run. But the next generation will get a look.
  5. I like the Lamkin Crosslines. They have a good, solid feel to me. Somewhat hard. I don't like the softer grips that "give" some as you grip them. I would really like cords, but don't play enough anymore to build-up the callouses needed for cords.
  6. I have a tendency to slide the hips more that rotate them. Any good drills for getting more rotation? One I have found is to put a clubshaft resting lightly against your left hip and then on the downswing, rotate inside the golf shaft. If you slide, you will dislodge or move the shaft. The shaft should not be anchored too much to prevent injury, but having it there seems to make it easier to rotate and clear.
  7. Both those look good. I have yet to find an driving iron or utility/rescue that I really like the looks of. The satin is better than the shiny chrome in my opinion. Thanks for the pics. Wonder if we will see them in the US?
  8. Having played both, they are both good clubs. The mizuno will have a more muted feel at impact. Almost like it is filled and has a muted sound to it The sonartec has a good feel to it, but it is the more metallic feel that some clubs get and a bit louder sound. Feels a bit "hotter" off the face. I am currently playing the sonartec, but could easily put the mizuno in the bag. Both have a good compact look.
  9. I was wondering if the ProAims would work on full swing clubs also, might have to check it out based on the post above. I think they are one of the best devices for putting. Works on at least 3 areas: Alignment Keeping head still Putter path I bet there are more, but those are the three that stand out.
  10. good point.
  11. Those anser inspired designs in the middle look very nice. Not sure what to think of the Eldik-N. Might have to see one in person before I make up my mind.
  12. another vote for the ProV1X and the HX tour. Neck and neck for me.
  13. Why? I think you hit your driver fine.
  14. I find stretching out the hamstrings and calfs to be the best. Also shoulders by doing "windmills" or shoulder stretch in the website someone posted above.
  15. Those are nice. Always have a soft spot for some good mizuno irons.
