Japanese Drivers: If I was going to pick just one....
Ok, I'll take one of each! :tsg_smilie_smile: Serioulsy though, all those sticks are so freakin' gorgeous! How can anyone decide? About the only one I'd cross off the list is the TM...I've just never got along with any of their gear. I think TSG needs to do a Import Only Big Dog Shoutout, anyone else? This seems to be the concensus from anyone who's hit/played one.... How does she feel at impact? Can you equate to the feel to say, TM, Titty, Callaway, B'stone, XDrive, or just different and better? I'm with Klaus. It's not a huge concern, but when you're ho'ing clubs and don't have limitless resources, you have to be 'aware'.

Japanese Drivers: If I was going to pick just one....
Sounds like we're on the same search... I've developed quite a crush on the 430P, but I tried the 405 and it was a spin machine for me. So although it looks amazing, I'm a little worried about the performance. Basically, I check here mulitple times a day for more info on it's performance, ideally with someone who swings like I do---but beggars can't be choosers. For all the reasons you state above, I'd love to hit the Epon before I 'take the plunge'. Aside from here and maybe GolfWRX, tough to resell if it doesn't perform...but just as sexy looking as anything out! So now Miz releases a new driver....and damn it! It looks gorgeous too! This is part of the reason why it's so tough to find a new driver----they all look SOOO good!

Japanese Drivers: If I was going to pick just one....
The reviews of the Epon that I've read here are outstanding! I would definitely put it in the running, but I'd also hate to buy and be dissappointed...can anyone comment on the feel of the Epon compared to any US OEM's--particluarly B'stone?

Japanese Drivers: If I was going to pick just one....
I'm constantly on a search for the perfect driver. My criteria is simple: it has to look good, feel good and perform. I didnt' think it'd be that tough, but it's proven harder than I thought. Some stuff will look good, but feel like poo....likewise other stuff will feel and look great, but not go anywhere. In short, I've pretty much had it with US OEM's and I've pretty much tried everything that even smelled like it might work.... Up to this point, the most appealing combo of appearance, feel, and performance for me has been the Bridgestone 460. I love the feel and performance, and lack of alignment aide is dead sexy :tsg_smilie_smile: . But I'm slowly falling under the spell of several Japan-issue drivers. With this in mind, can all the TSG experts help me out? If I had to pick just one (who am I kidding, right?) which should it be?

Inpakuto: Live Pics of new X-Drive 2007
If I'm reading this chart correctly, 'HS' is an abbreviation for 'head speed' (just another way of saying swing speed). If this is the case, I have no idea how to convert my SS in MPH to HS in meters per second. Can anyone provide any help?

'06 X Blade 2 CB
IMO, these are some of the best looking stick around. I've drooled over them for months and now have a shot to pick up a set. Can anyone tell me how they play particularly in comparison to z101's? How do they feel? Where were they forged? Workability? Forgiveness? I'm starved for some info on these beauties....

Tourstage x-drive 435 vs. bridgestone j33r
I just hit the XDriver 405 and J33R420 at the range last night. First off, my two clubs had 2 VERY different shafts. So I'm not going to write about distance, spin rates, or trajectory. So what's left you might ask? Setup: Both set up beautifully to the ball. Dead square. Gorgeous finish and NO alignment aid, just pure smoothness. Shape: Although the J33 is 15cc bigger, they're both very similiar in shape. I would say the XDrive is a bit more 'aggressive' looking at address, but that's just my opinion. The only difference I can tell is on the roll toward the toe of the driver...the J33 is more rounded than the XDrive. So up to this point, it's a wash in my book. Both are beautiful drivers, nice shape, finish, size, and setup. The most pronounced difference is feel. Although they both have a tungsten screw in the head, there is a HUGE difference in feel. Feel: The J33 is incredibly solid (more solid than the J33460 IMO). Perhaps the most solid driver I've ever hit. As a function of it's solidness, I could tell if I hit it a score line skinny or fat and little on the toe or heel. I, for one, like to know where I'm missing. So thats a good thing. The XDriver felt much 'softer' at impact and very forgiving. I felt like I could hit it anywhere on the face and it would go like h*ll. As a result, I couldn't tell if I was hitting fat, thin, etc. To sum up: Golfsmith just emailed me to tell me that my shaft is on the way. So when it gets here, I'll build up them up to be the same setup. Then I can really do some comparing! Hope this helps.

WTB: Driver Pulls: V2 .350 or .335 X, Vista Tour 70X .335
Title says it all. Let me hear what you got. Right now I've got too many driver heads and not enough shafts!

Tourstage X Drive 405...
I just came back from beating about 1,000 balls with the new stick. I've got to play a few rounds with it, but my initial impressions are very good. I'm used to playing a J33P w/ 757, and nothing even had a chance to knock it out. Nothing from Titleist or any of the B'stone J33R's. But I think with the right shaft this could be the gamer for a longtime. I find the M65 too light and loose for my taste. Great feel, but probably b/c it's not stiff enough for me (look for it in the classifieds soon). But even with a shaft that doesn't suit me, I still got incredible distance, a reasonably good trajectory, and my misses were fantastic. Oh, and the feel was pretty damn solid too; about as solid and forgiving as I've played (I just can't get to a 460cc--too big for me). In short, I'm very optimistic. With the right shaft, I think I've found a rocket launcher.

Tourstage X Drive 405...
That's awesome news....now I'm even more psyched! My current gamer is a J33P Tour w/757, so I'm already sold on B'stone. I'm glad to hear that the Tourstage stuff is at least as good... What the shaft like? I know it's a high end shaft, but I'm wandering how it plays and what it compares to.

Tourstage X Drive 405...
I did a quick search under this thread and didn't come up with much. Is there no love for the 405? As the recent purchaser of one (thanks SteveO) and having never seen one in person; i'd love some quality (and postive :tsg_smilie_smile: )impressions.
