M. Saysaya's Latest Masterpiece - GOLDS FACTORY -
so when you order a stock no1 or no2, you can request clean sole? going by the pics here in the pro shop and on his own site i just figure they came this way and then you added the stamping you wanted. kinda like the G in the cavity pocket. so these putters actually start out totaly blank? not a single stamp at all? that is music to my ears, as i am gonna submit mine to Chris in a day or so and figure i had to get the "stock" stamps so to say on top of what i wanted!

how do you get a clean sole like that? i thought they all came with private stock no 1 or 2 and then golds factory stamped on the sole like you see.

Golf Style Vol.33 Observations; JPGA,LPGA,JLPGA
There is a pretty extensive bag check for the JPGA, LPGA, and JLPGA in this edition of Golf Style, so if there are any particular players anyone is looking for please let me know. Now on to the good stuff, for those of you who have wedge-itis like I do, looking for the obscure one of Japanese brands, like grind studio, zodia, etc. MTI wedges seem to be sweeping the JPGA, it doesnt seem to matter what staffer you are, bridgestone tourstage, srixon, tm japan these wedges are everywhere. Pics are coming up below, as well I will get a couple pics from the magazine in the next day or so of these as well. As well as some other intereting pics. Tadd Fujikawa's sweet fourteen wedges and cut down cameron have a full page. One thing I did notice and maybe Chris or Gocchin have more info on it, but when did Toshi Izawa go to Titelist? He has the full kit 907 D2 driver, fw', 670 irons, vokeys, and a belly cameron putter. Not to metion his clothes deal is with under armour. He was one I pegged as a bridgestone staffer for life. Ok back to the wedges, there appears to be two types; a type S and a type D, with the type S in far more bags, these are the only pics I have as of now, but more will come later, both from the magazine and if I can stumble across some more info on them, like I said above it just amazes me how many JPGA pro's are playing these no matter what company they are endorsing, its bizzare to see tourstage staffers without the new '07 x-wedges in the bag, or any previous tourstage offerings.

What do you think of this Wedge Shape?
Chris, I guess I have just become so acustomed to the shape of the older maru wedges, like the '03 and '04 versions which are identical in head shape. Its just hard to get used to something differnt. Now it might be just the angle the pic is taken at, but the face looks so elongated to me. There is also something about the hard angle where the hosel splits with the face, its like a hard angle and then it kinda bulbs out like a light bulb. I have a couple pics, you can see how at address the toe line from the tip back to the hosel is more straigh and less rotund and curvey.

Epon Blades....
there is a proto set or two out there if i remember correctly. Chris mentioned this in his trip to the Epon factory.

What do you think of this Wedge Shape?
personally the toe is a little too high and a little too roundy, my eyes would have it a little more squished/squatted down. as for finish, definately a black that will wear and rust

ITS HERE: Final Version Seida Wedge by YuRuRi !!!
that is quite the grind, my swing is probably too shallow to suit this. Chris do you know if he will come out with a similar wedge with a different grind for the better player with a more shallow/sweeping type swing. *my one gripe and its minor is the "56" is way to big and blocky. need something a little more subtle like the stamping on the sole

Any feedback on the Tourstage X-Drive GR yet?
The theory behind this club is that the different head shape, along with it being 10mm shallower in the face than the regular x-drive 460, as well the lie angle on this is atleast 1* more uprigt than the regular x-drives, is that they want to promote a higher ball flight as for the Fujikura 6X07, dont really know to much about it other than the specs in Stiff are 66grams 3.3* or torque with a mid kickpoint *you are almost dead on bridgestones ideal candidate for this driver, they are after a 43m/s head speed which is roughly 96.2 miles per hour, but your quicker tempo could compensate.

Tourstage 2005 Maru X-Wedge Limited Set Brand New
to answer your question, no it isnt. the whole reason behind C6.5 on the lob, is maru used his dad's cut down wedge when he was young, and just got used to the feel so as he came up through the ranks just stuck with it. now another thing to keep in mind is that these are about an inch shorter than us standard so with a reshaft of say dg-s400 and a proper length d2 or d3 for both is easily attainable

Ryo Ishikawa - Teen JPGA Champion
ok guys, not gonna be the biggest help, but i found something in Golf Style Vol. 28 September 2006 now I can usually decipher the clubs and specs by looking at them and just knowing the brands, but his are tough as I have never heard or seen of them before, now with this being over 6 months old as well he could have very well switched but this is what he had in the bag i assume at the Japan amateur the only thing written on the soles of the Driver, 16* wood and 19* wood is SOLID CONTACT driver specs: 44.75" fuji 70C S-Flex 9.5* D1 16* and 19* fuji 70C S-flex the irons i have never seen before they are a forged cb, that would most resemble a tourstage nb-32, however they are definately NOT any of the big japan manufacturs they are 3-PW with the 5 iron at 37.5" D1 graphite shafted i believe 90 S-Flex 52* wedge is a stock vokey black nickel 58* wedge is a stock vokey oil can Putter is a scotty cameron studio style newport 2 Ball is the pro V1x *now judging by the wedges, putter and ball, titleist very well have give him irons and woods as someone mentioned he maybe all titleist. sorry i couldnt do any better, they are clubs i have never seen before which doesnt happen too often as i can usually decipher most if not all
