Chris, When can we expect some feedback?

Any idea what is considered good, forgiving, etc. in MOI ratings in iron heads? Where does 2350 fall in? What is say the Epon AF-301?
  3. Any new info here?
  4. Chris, When should we expect the review? How is that Roddio working in it? Any word on the GD stock shaft?
  5. Chis The end of that shaft sure looks like a Roddio?? What are you playing?
  6. Yeah the 105g seem to work well.
  7. Thanks for the info. How would you compare them to the Roddio I-10s? I am struggling with the idea of installing the Roddio I-10s I have into my AF301s. I would need to bore out the hosels though. So I am considering one of the GD shafts in a new set. Can you send me the pricing for each (approx.)? Thanks
  8. Anyone have any idea about the differences?

Any info on how these shafts play, launch angle, etc. of the EMB. I have a 460 now, 10.5, square with W6BA Roddio at 44.5". Any suggestions if this combo has worked well?

Yep should be very interesting. When it was first talked about, I thought about putting a hard kicking long shaft in it because I figured you could get away with some mis**ts. Sounds like this may be their direction also. I have heard of this being done with the Callaway FT-i heads especially the tour versions. When are the pre-orders?

Gocchin, Interesting specs. With a 61 lie angle, which is more upright than the current 460, plus the longer stock shaft of 46", what do you think this does to fitting the demo? I thought the Japanese were smaller, like me, and they would build these to fit that stature. Seems like this setup is moving in the opposite direction. Is the longer shaft meant to give more power and control is had by the high MOI?

What is the lie and face angle?
  13. I have had the black golds installed in the 301s now for about 1.5 months. I like them better every day. They are very stable. Feel is very good. I am playing great golf with these.
  14. I have the Tour Seida 52, 56, 60 bent to 50, 54 and 58. I like the ability to work these clubs. Grind seems condusive to playing all shots except tight fairways are tough unless you are trying a simple shot. Feel is kinda hard unless you flush them. Overall happy with them.

What ever happened with the contest to think of a new slogan? I know many were suggested, but what were the result(s)?
  16. Hope their expansion into th US market will not dilute the brqand or sacrifice design and quality.

The name is EMB "Epon Monster Beetle"
  18. Chris, You read my mind. I play and am around quite a few mediocre golfers who try and play blades. They pull it off sometime, but mostly they do not. I don't know about you, but as a 7 HC, I don't play blades and shouldn't, if I want to max my score. Nothing against the guys that do, but to read posts that are borderline anti-Epon AF301, I kinda chuckle. Different strokes, and more of them, for different folks.

I would think by now that given the computer design age as well as the length of time that had pasted, designs of high performing golf clubs would be similar. Take a company like Callaway or TM. They come out with so many different product lines each year, most with what appears to be slight design changes with major cosmetic changes. All in all I wonder how much difference there really is. I tend to think this is just marketing moves to sell and resell the same customer. I would think that there are only so many shapes, sizes, CGs, grooves, etc. that could be made in irons and that they have mostly all been tried. I laugh thinking about some of the tour items listed on the other website as being so special. Maybe they are limited in how many were made, but do you really think they are worth what people are paying? Seems like these were designs that didn't make it into the public. I doubt that these major companies would not released a high performing design and sacrifice an edge over their competitors.
  21. So close its scary...
  22. Chris, Are these the same?
  23. As some of you may know, my wife and I have two adopted kids from Guatemala and are pursuing adoption a third. Recently there has been quite a number of news stories discussing the pending legal changes that will take place in Guatemala in 2008. As you would expect, the news programs have sensationalized the changes and quite frankly reported in a tabloid style. The government of Guatemala is very corrupt. Unicef has promised President Berger 20+ million dollars if he changes the laws in Guatemala. Most people think Unicef is an agency for the proper care of children. They are not and have pushed other countries into poorly operating programs essentially stopping intercountry adoption forever. Berger is out of office January 14, 2008. He has vowed to issue an edict to stop all adoptions December 31, 2007. Right now there are more than 5000 families in process to adopt kids from Guatemala. These are families that care deeply for these children and want nothing more than to complete their families and make a life for these children. Having visited Guatemala 5 times, I can say that the condition of the country is very poor. They have the highest rate of malnourished children in the western hempishere. They have the highest crime rate almost in the world...6000+ murders in a pop. of 12M. I have seen children eating paper because no food was available. I am asking for your support by following the following link, reading and ultimately signing the petition. We need to show our humanitarian support so that there are not in-process children stuck in the system, left on the street and facing an unknown future. Keep in mind that this has nothing to do with immigration. These are kids that become US citizens immediately. http://www.petitiononline.com/foafoa1/petition.html WE NEED YOU HELP NOW. PLEASE GET ANYONE YOU KNOW TO COMPLETE THE PETITION TODAY. If you need any more info, please feel free to email me at [email protected] Thanks for your time.
  24. I want one.
