Trip to Bettinardi Studio B
Sweet looking putter. Thanks for sharing. Just another example of why its so important having clubs fit to oneself and especially the putter. I can concur that after having flattened my lie angle 2 degrees and decreasing length from 34" to 33" earlier this year, my putting has been very solid as well. Wish you continued success on the greens!

Need recommendation for ladies iron set
I'm sure TourSpecGirl could comment on her Lepon clubs. They're Epon's ladies' clubs. Here's a link to her setup. http://forum.tourspecgolf.com/t23995.html&hl=lepon

The Offical George Spirits Thread @ TSG!
These clubs definitely fill a niche here at TSG. I do like the look of the sharp toe in the irons. I have much the same look from my TourStage X-blade 2's. Chris is it much more pronounced in the George Spirits design compared to the old X-blades? Did George Takei ever have any design input with TourStage? I love the finish of the wedges. I just love the look of a "dull" (for lack of a better word) finish in wedges be it the copper in the old Epon X-wedges or the dark or black finish in these. Just a perfect finish IMO. I really don't like wedges to be shiny chrome for my tastes. Looking foward to more reviews as those of you out there start to put these into play. I really believe the Muscle-Backs to rival the much loved Gauge Design Hand-mades that got so much press here a few years back. They look very, very solid.

Time to vent
Sounds good. I too am thinking for the tour bag eventually and combining that with a push cart. I'm finding that I'm starting to get a little taxed on the last few holes and am attributing that to just getting a little older. Plus, those tour bags do look very sweet.

Time to vent
I've been very happy with my bag from BagBoy. I've had it going on a couple years now and couldn't be any happier. Had some issues with the Mizuno bags in regards to zippers. I like top divider system of the BagBoy. Its divided into 7 sections with 3 full length dividers. I can't say that I've really had any issue with it. I'm kind of particular in how I separate my clubs so each one has a distinct spot in the bag and I think this does help to keep it organized. I do think though, that once you get fourteen clubs all together in a 9 inch bag its going to be tight squeeze no matter the bag, the BagBoy included. I've had Pings and have never had any issue with them. Always a solid choice those bags as well. The one thing the BagBoy has over the Ping is the BagBoy doesn't have that giant Ping logo down the side. All in all though, I've found the Ping Hoofer and the BagBoy to be the best bags that are out there in terms of overall satisfaction, including comfort of carrying. Still though, I'm always on the lookout for a "better" bag. Here's an old thread from TSG on this topic which includes pics of my BagBoy currently still in use: http://forum.tourspecgolf.com/t22287.html&hl=bagboy

Perfect Pro Grips
Be sure to post some pics if and when you do decide to go with them. Would love to see that.

Perfect Pro Grips
Those Emerald Green Cord grips look sweet. Any chance of getting those here, Chris, Tario?

The New MacTeC Japan NV-NXS w/PICS!
C, do you think the ease of hitting it is not so much due to the shaft rather than the design of the head. Seems to me that many companies now are going with designs which elongate the head from heel to toe as well as back to front to give it more stability; the whole square head MOI theory.

Battle of the Black's Coming Soon...
This should be all be good stuff!! All those drivers look simply stunning. Just waiting for . . . Epon Black? You know that's got to be coming down the pipe in the future.

Geotech GT 455 Black Inital Impressions
This looks like a steal at $255 retail. That all black is a killer look. T, thanks for the review and sounds like another product to consider for those looking at a new driver.

Golf Balls
I'm still very happy and content with Bridgestone's B330-S model. I too, was similar to I-drive and had been very committed to the ProV1 series since they first came out. I tried the B330 model a couple years back and then switched over the B330-S and haven't gone back. For my game at this time the B330-S is it.

New irons and how to protect them-
These are all great suggestions and while I do try to keep my clubs as nice as possible (even waxing the tops of my woods) I do use my clubs a lot and have no qualms with them getting that "used" look. The Doc can attest to that. In fact I almost look at those marks like a badge of honor. I do feel that clubs are made to be used and as beautiful as these clubs are, whats even more beautiful is the absolute pure shots they make when my swing is really on! So, have fun with those new clubs, clean them well, but golf them well and don't be afraid of incurring any little nics on them here and there.

Braced vs Flexed
This is the exact thing that I struggled with for years after my two ACL surgeries. While I've gotten a lot better the fact that I've got some secondary laxity in my right knee has really limited me. I've worked very hard on this exact thing for so long. I'm glad you've written about this because as someone who knows first hand exactly what you're talking about I can tell you that this is probably the key element in the golf swing. When my right knee is working well, golf can be pretty easy, but when its not, it can be nightmare. In fact, when I first tore my ACL way back when, I didn't really know I tore. It was sore for a couple weeks but after that I had absolutely no pain. At that time my game was starting to get pretty good and then after that injury all of sudden, my shots were weak and out to right. It was night and day. Subsequently that started me off on the first of two ACL surgeries and many rehab months thereafter. Going through it all I've learned so much about the golf swing. At this point in time I'm hitting the ball better than I ever have but it hasn't come without a few oddities in my setup. Nothing really drastic but I do a couple of things to allow me to swing as Brett has described above. The one thing I do kind of do is I will also flex my left knee in a little as well. Doing this allows me to stay grounded and be able to just "turn and turn".

G-Field Wedges Redo
Wow Doc, that didn't take long!! I think I only sent those to you on Monday, uh? Great work on them and yes, most all my clubs get quite a bit of usage. You should see my Epon 60 X-wedge. Talk about wear, but it still performs great. I'm glad to see that these wedges which had been idle for some time, will finally be getting some work in again. Thanks for pics and the ease of doing a little business with you!!

Muira vs Muiraism?
Can't wait to see these beauties!!

For a hybrid - 904HB vs UT-85 vs altus vs bassara?
I have used both the 904HB and the UT-85 as well as UT-95. The UT series is far superior in my opinion to the 904HG. Haven't had any experience with the Altus, but I'm more than pleased with the UT series from Graphite Design. Very high quality shafts.

The "sound" of your Driver
My favorite is the Epon AF-101. To me it sounds like a rifle shot. Very powerful but not overly loud nor tingy metallic. Its a very full sound if you know what I'm trying to say. Worst driver I've ever heard is the Cobra LD series. It sounds broken.

The Trend of "too stiff"
I must say, I do consider myself a student of the swing. As I've gone along in my golfing evolution I've become fascinated by differing opinions and exploring different options to come up with better results. I really enjoy all this talk about swing and equipment. Keep it up!

My recent fitting...
Just a comment on the swing weight. If the club feels good don't worry about the swing weight. All my clubs hover around a D8 give or take a couple of points and my Epon wedges go E2, E4 and E2. My driver is a D4. To me, they all feel perfect. Remember swing weight is a static measurement, done without the club in motion. If it feels right and produces the results you're after, go with it. If it messes with your head too much or you just can't buy into it, then you may need to work on the swing a little more and get clubs more in line with what you think it should be. I can't really comment on the 4 degrees upright. I can tell you that I'm a little smaller than you at just over 6'1" and weigh in at 170lbs. My clubs are all 1" over standard length and my lie angles are all about 2 degrees flat for for the irons and 3 degrees for the wedges. My driver and 3-wood are also flat. The reason why my clubs are this way is to eliminate the hook as much as possible and through many different trials, this is the way that I swing the best. In the past I had gone as much as 2 degrees upright to promote the draw. However as I've evolved with my swing I've gone the other way. If you were to measure me using just charts I should play standard clubs and one-half inch shorter than normal. However I know the results I would get from doing that would not be as good as I'm getting now. Not to mention, to be truly fit, one needs to hit the ball. Dynamic measurements are much more important in my opinion than static measurements. Static measurements merely get you a starting point. Dynamic measurements (club in motion) however, should clear up the picutre quite a bit. The question to ask yourself, is with these new clubs/adjustments do you see better results with your game and do they satisfy you? Or, if not, are you willing to put a lot of time in the fix a swing that you may consider "messed-up". Remember there is no one swing that fits everyone and we're all limited by our own bodies, mannerisms and levels of athletisicm. Good luck to you and let us know how it goes.

TOURSTAGE clothing??
One other option is for those going to Japan in the summer, I've found that many shops will have sells during that time and you can pick up Paradiso and TourStage for very decent price and at the same time try them on to make sure they fit. I've found both L and XL sizes available during those times and I was lucky that both those sizes fit.

Gocchin's 2008 WITB - so far
Absolutely beautiflul T! Hey go out and get some dirt/grass on those clubs!! But seriously, how are you liking your driver results after switching to 12 degrees? I would imagine better? That putter is just sick, but I still love the look of that bag. My favorite for sure!
