  1. I like others await your review!! :tsg_smilie_cool:

    Here's a report from zerohandy...

    Report:

I have U4 (23") w/stock shaft(Maybe NS PRO UT). I played it yesterday and used 2 times. First was tee shot. I hit it lightly intended to hit off the ball around 200 yrd, but failed... I hit it 240yrd... he..he...Secondary, at the 18th hole (par 5, 564yard) i hit off the ball over 300 yard with my X-Drive 405. The remaining is only 260. I tried spoon but did fatshot. I rolled only 40yard and the ball sit in the deep rough.

I picked up X-UT and hit the ball verrrrry clearly. My X-01 ball fly and sit beside the pin within 5m. The trajectroy made by X-UT was not so high. It was a little bit of fade.

I'm falling in love with my baby..X-UT.

It will sit for a long time in my bag.

  2. Yup, still playing them here. Although I haven't tried everything that is new out there, I tried and owned many irons before settling on the 27's. Great irons and I'm not even looking for a new set. Very happy and satisfied.... My bag has stayed the same for quite a while now (for me). The Gauge Balde is the newest club in my bag. :tsg_smiley_punkrock:

  3. The only thing that I would say is that more golfers would benefit from MORE backspin to get the ball in the air longer. That's what keeps the ball up and aids distance. Air is less resistance than the ground for anyone that has a normal (read slower) swing speed. The whole thing about less spin as desirable doesn't hold true for at least 75% of the golfers out there. :tsg_smiley_yes:

  4. It's not really about offset. There isn't that much offset. The 27's are a little chunky from the top though. It's about forgiveness. The MP 27's are definitely one of the most forgiving irons I've played and I've played all the Callys', TourStage and more. That's the bottom line with these clubs. If you are a very good ball striker and have a low handicap then try out the 60's. If you are a mid handi and don't always pure the ball give the MP27's your shot. I have to say that I'm bias for the 27's for sure. A great club.

  5. thanks faq.....even if it was a heavy raphite?

or even would i be able to change it from the nippon 950gh to say a px ?

Project X... Those are steel as is the NS950. You can change from steel shafts to steel shafts. Re: heavy graphite, you can do anything that you want however it's not recommended. It would be better to just buy a graphite head.

  6. folks, help me out here ...., just call Callaway and found out nippon shaft is not available for X-Tour!!??

Can anyone tell me if it can be reshafted or not? Or should I just go for Project X? This really drives me crazy especially after I spend weeks to make up my mind and come out what I want for my new iron set....., and now it turns out I am back to where I started it.  :wah:

They can be reshafted. Don't go with Project X unless you are a very aggressive hitter. Those shafts are hard to load.

Looks like the person on the phone was right about not offering NS shafts... See this shaft selection for the XTour... http://www.callawaygolf.com/en/techspecs/S...aspx?product=74

  7. chris can you help me out here, i have ordered a ux2 with the nippon 950 shaft......not sure how this is gonna work out. if it does great, but if not is it possible to reshaft it with a hybrid shaft ...ie banzai or the ut85 ? or could this mess the swingweight up?

It will mess with the swingweight. The Mizuno Hybrids are designed to work with either steel or graphite, but not either.

  8. I recently purchased some Zodia wedges.  A 52*, 56* & 60* to be specific.  When I made my first purchase of a Zodia wedge it was a 52* and it was in -US- Specs and had KMTour Wedge stamped on the back of it.  I then ordered the 56* & 60* wedges which were actually stamped differently simply stating Zodia Premium Version.

Now I noticed some of the obvious difference specifically in the finish, but does anyone know what other difference are they between the two types of Zodia Wedges.  Thanks.

The KM Tour Wedges is an older model and the Premium is the newer model. The grind is different, but I couldn't tell you exactly what the difference is. I've had quite a few of both and prefer the Premium.

  9. heres a pic of the new gauge japan nc1s

here is a pic of the gauge mbs

i play the handmade studio version of these and they are truely awesome!

if you look up the search forum you will find lots of info on the gauge irons!

I gotta say that's a very cool castle in the background... :surprize:
