UT-306 or cvXer
I actually played both clubs with the same 2 shafts. First both with GD ut-95 x flex shafts. Then both with Rombax Prototype x-flex. The Rombax is similar to the 8d07hb shaft available thru retail distributors. As usual the GD shaft felt great, but I had problems keeping it down in both clubs. The Rombax brought the flight down, and is a wonderful shaft that that I have raved about on here before. Even still the flight was a little high with the 306. As far as forgiveness, I would rate them about the same with the nod going to the 306 because it is so easy to get in the air. Feel definitely goes to the TS.

UT-306 or cvXer
Not a big fan of the ut-306. It felt really metallic when compared to my tourstage x-ut. Maybe the turbo rubber has something to do with it, but the TS feels so solid. Both clubs were the same loft, but I hit the 306 higher than the TS. This is not something I wanted, as I have trouble keeping utilities from ballooning. On a side note the 306 is a great looking club from address. I actually preferred it slightly over the more boxy TS. Hope this helps...

Best hybrid shafts?
I have used the ut-85 and 95 x in my hybrid (tourstage x-ut 19*) with success, but recently switched to a fujikura rombax prototype. I think it is the same shaft as the 8D07HB listed on the fujikura website. If not it is very close. It launches lower than the graphite design shafts, and also produces lower spin. I struggle with high spinny shots with my hybrid, and the fuji shaft has all but eliminated this. I guess it depends what you are looking for in a shaft. It could be that the GD shafts fit you very well and you don't need to change, but what fun would that be

Has anyone put a grind on a copper x-wedge
I remember Chris saying that a while ago - I have someone in the Atlanta area that does nice wedge work.

Has anyone put a grind on a copper x-wedge
Thanks Bruinduke, that was exactly what I was looking for. I think I'm going to have a c-grind put on the 56*

Has anyone put a grind on a copper x-wedge
I have the 52* and 56* copper x-wedges. The 52* is fine as is, but I would like to put a grind on the 56* to make it more versatile around the greens. Has anyone done this to the copper finish. I guess I want to know what the finish will look like after it has been ground. Will it need to be refinished?

Graphite Design Tour AD MD series
Info is starting to pop up on the web about this shaft. It seems to be an updated version of the first quattrotech with a reinforced tip section for a more penetrating flight. The bend profile is very similar to the popular PT series by design. Thats all I could gather from the google translator tool.

Whats up with the RomaRo brand
Is the Roma Ro line available? If so, does anyone have any feedback? I did a search after seeing a picture of a putter in the gallery section, but couldn't find much information. From what I could gather, they have taken over some of gauge design's product in some form or another.

Royal Collection 6150TG Wedge
I played with my 60* 6150TG wedge for the 3rd time yesterday. As Gocchin said above this is a quality wedge. I really like the compact shape - It is noticebly smaller than most wedges from address. I play epon x-wedge 52* and 56* and they are both larger in apperance. Spin is right up there with titleist spin milled and Callaway MD grooves in my opinion. The grind is really effective. It allows me to get under the ball quickly on tight lies around the green. It is very easy to lay the club open to hit flop shots as well. The finish is holding up remarkably well too. I've used it a total of 50-75 shots so far, and it still looks new. I have even used it out of the bunker on several occasions and no signs of wear to the finish. I highly reccomend this wedge to anyone who prefers a compact wedge at address.

Best Hybrid shaft.
I am playing a rombax proto shaft in a tourstage x-ut and really like it. I used to play the 904hb, but thought it felt harsh even though the results were good. The rombax keeps all of the good features of the 904hb, but feels much smoother. It seems to launch a little higher with less spin as well.

Epon Technity 3 Wood Initial Impressions
I have been playing the 15* epon 3 wood for a few months now. I must say it about the perfect 3 wood for my game. It has a nice deep face, traditional pear shape, and feels so solid on impact. The cosmetics are also pure class. I love the no frills aproach to epon clubs. They are really all about performance. Chris actually had epon find one for me that was almost 2* open (thank you). This setup is ideal for both form and function. It allows me to really release the club and still hit the ball straight, and even on occasion, a nice fade. It really has taken the left side out of play. It is shafted with a machline pro 80 x flex. I really like the feel of this shaft. Off the tee it is a monster. Off the deck I am hitting the ball on a very boring trajectory. I would actually like to raise my ball flight a bit off the deck. I may try a new shaft in the future, but at the same time I don't want to give up the perfect ball flight off the tee. Any suggestions? I am going to disagree a little with some of the previous posts. I think for the golfer this 3 wood is targeting, it is forgiving. Of course there are game improvement 3 woods that are almost the size of a driver that are more forgiving, but I wouldn't play one of them. True you need to be a pretty good ball striker to play this 3 wood, but I would also say this is the most forgiving 3 wood in the "player" category. I have played rc cv pro, titleist 906f, nike t60, adams 4060, etc. and this beats them all.

Tourstage Utility Shootout, X-UT vs. ViQ
Haven't hit the viq, but the x-ut I have is the best feeling "wood" in my bag at the moment. I love the muted thwack at impact and penetrating ballflight. It inspires confidence off the tee on really tight holes. Btw I have the 19* 2 hybrid.

New Titleist Hybrid Bag
I understand your sentiments, but for what I need in a bag right now this fits the bill. I walk and ride about 50/50, and I hate changing bags every other time I go play. If I do have a complaint, it is that the stand doesn't start at the top of the bag. It connects about six inches below the top. This makes the bag a little less stable in my opinion. Its not the end of the world, but I will have to be a little careful when I am on uneven ground. Other than the minor complaint build quality is superb. btw- I accidentally uploaded photos of my scratch wedges. They aren't supposed to be in the pics, but oh well...

New JDM Titleist Stand Bag
- New JDM Titleist Stand Bag
I will definately post some pics. My order is processing as we speak... hopefully I'll have it soon. I have the same problem- I don't play a single Titleist club, but I rationalized it because I still play prov1x.- New JDM Titleist Stand Bag
Im going to order the white and green bag. I have been looking for that color green for over a year...finally! I will let everyone know how it turns out.- Mach Line Tour by NGS
Well your review took me over the edge... I am placing an order with Chris for the same shaft in x-flex (SS is 115mph on average). Can't wait to get it now I am either going to put it ia a Srizon ZR-600 or Cleveland Hi-Bore XL Tour. Both drivers are 8.5*. I was thinking about tipping it .5", but if the stiff is holding up to your 109mph swing I may not need to.- Tourstage X-UT w/PICS!
I have been playing this club for awhile now. I like everything about it really. Mine actually sets up a little open which I love. It is the 19* with a rombax prototype hybrid shaft. It feels so solid when struck well, and distance is on par with just about any hybrid. As the above posters have noted it does take the left side out of play which is what I was looking for. It is the best hybrid I have played to date .- Obscure Japanese Brand
Chris, can you get these wedges? If not can they be ordered here in the states? Thanks- Golf Gear - New Shaft Shootout?
I assume golf gear is not available in the USA. Are there any spin and launch numbes available in the article? I haven't even heard of some of the shafts in the test. Unfortunately all the shafts tested in the 50 m/s caterory are 80+ grams, and I play 70 grams in the driver... I don't know if the article really helps me? On a side note anyone that has played the graphite design pt series and the Quattro Tech series, how much higher will the quattro tech launch? Will the spin be lower? Also how does the new Rombax X series compare to Quattro Tech? Spin and feel etc...- Golf Gear - New Shaft Shootout?
What was the other finalist in the class 5 test?- Golf Gear - New Shaft Shootout?
Thank you for the prompt reply. Do you have any more info on Class 5 for ss over 48 m/s. They say Diamana white board wins, but what other shafts are in that class? Here is a chart for converting meters per second into mph. It looks like my low end SS is around 50 m/s. Thanks in advance meters per second miles per hour 30 67.11 35 78.29 40 89.48 45 100.66 50 111.85 55 123.03 60 134.22 65 145.4 70 156.59 75 167.77 80 178.96 - New JDM Titleist Stand Bag
