Lots of reviews spread out in the forum... as R above said... all shafts choices can be very personal and dependent on one's own game but reading other's experiences sure does help! (^_^) http://forum.tourspecgolf.com/index.ph...1&hl=roddio http://forum.tourspecgolf.com/index.ph...4&hl=roddio http://forum.tourspecgolf.com/index.ph...5&hl=roddio http://forum.tourspecgolf.com/index.ph...1&hl=roddio http://forum.tourspecgolf.com/index.ph...6&hl=roddio http://forum.tourspecgolf.com/index.ph...4&hl=roddio http://forum.tourspecgolf.com/index.ph...4&hl=roddio
  2. Actually I meant long as in distance. You can of course install it at any length you want (^_^). The X-Con possesses a stiff tip which is actually better for players with quicker tempo/transition. It will help prevent hooking the ball, like a softer active tip would. If you're worried about the shaft being too light, then move up to an X-con 6.
  3. Picked up a 6x12 for winter practice... yes it's practically winter here even though the weather has been nice the last few days....
  4. You can also consider the X-Con 5, a very long shaft which matched with a good head produces some exceptional ball speeds. It's not quite a low spin shaft, more like mid but the results could be very good.
  5. Actually the Tour AD UT tip is 8.9mm or 0.350 so that it will fit in any hybrid 0.350, 0.355 or 0.370 tip. (^_^)
  6. Hi there, yes the article says it is MOI measured left to right, or from side to side so horizontal. As for the neck MOI, wouldn't you want higher as higher MOI equates to less twisting? Forgive me as I am still trying to grasp the whole MOI phenomena myself (^_^). There is no vertical MOI numbers in this spefcific test but I do have several test somewhere around here where all retail drivers were meaured on a single machine top to bottom.... gotta dig that out. (^_^)
  7. Guys the rules are simple. The main area of the BST is 1. JDM Gear For Sale There are two sub forums for members for a. USDM Gear For Sale and b. Want To Buy ads. I am getting tired of having to move peoples topics every single day. This is a friendly reminder to please post in the right forum for the BST.
  8. I'm amazed that the GR launches higher than the Epon and keeps spin that low... no wonder it is such a lethal head. mkb3245, the whiteboard wouldn't be a bad fit. is the high trajectory something you are looking for? The whiteboard will probably bring spin down even more!
  9. Bat that is some amazing information... thanks for posting that!
  10. ONOFF Driver, ONOFF PLUS Driver, New ONOFF Fairway Arms, ONOFF Irons, and ONOFF Utility: New Fujikura Rombax Z and Y Series!!! : New Yamaha 4.6D Driver and 4.6D irons as well as new Inpres Forged irons!:
  11. I've posted on Inpakuto the latest GDO video previews for the new Tourstage Driver lineup including the X-Drive 445cc, new ViQ and V-GT MOI driver. The X-Drive and ViQ got very favorable reviews and seeing the X-Drive live, it looks amazing. The red on top even looks good. Thumbs up for the X-Drive on feel and performance. Go watch the videos now! (Best in IE with windows media player installed it seems)

You'll see a slightly softer profile, a higher launch with a mid kick. Do you have a W6BA or W6WA? The 7072 is similar to the WA not the BA which is for a smooth tempo and regular transition. The Axiv X will also give you a higher launch. The question is how do you like your current ball flight and what did you want to gain by changing shafts?

    So...... did it arrive??
  14. Also check out momo-chan's hat:
  15. Here are the live preview pics from the Callaway Japan announement:
  16. I've written up the description and put it in the Pro Shop along with the preorder... looks to be improvements over the Hyper ERC but we'll see for sure closer to release. Great shaft offering but not much info on the new shafts... As usual Callaway has set retail pretty high... http://www.tourspecgolf.com/proshop/p1533/...oduct_info.html

ONOFF is releasing two new drivers... new FW's, new irons and new utility! The Plus driver is now all black! Very slick looking. They've also taken a page out of tourstage's fin design on the new ViQ driver and created a face that is not an insert but goes from heel to toe and over the front crown!

That looks very very clean... another beauty LC!!
  19. There seem to be a few people with this issue. Luckily my 4 G-field clubs all still have tight screws. Perhaps Chris can chime in as apparently there was some sort of screw tool....

    Jared, On the 460 it's 57.5* and on the 425 it's a very flat 56.5*.
  21. gocchin replied to gus's post in a topic in Japanese Golf Clubs
The 460 was made to be more forgiving than the 425. People loved the 425 when it came out but the knock against it was a lack of forgiveness as players besides "athlete" level wanted to use the driver... so the 460 is not quite as deep and a little more forgiving.

I think it's one of the nicest looking drivers around... more classic, not big MOI style. I think AJ can give you some good feedback as he has hit it against the X-Drive and Epon and likes it.

I've seen three retail samples tested, two 425's and one 460. Here are the numbers: a) 425 9.5*: actual loft 8.9*, face angle 0.5* open b) 460 9.5*: actual loft 9.3*, face angle 0.6* open c) 425 9.5*: actual loft 9.8*, face angle 0.5* open
  24. This has been around for a while but I thought I'd post it up for those who love inserts but wish they had various inserts for their one favorite putter. Sasaya-san created C.F.I.S. the Changeable Face Insert System. It includes three separate inserts, 1 SUS303 fine and tight milling marks, 1 SUS303 with wider milling marks, and 1 Soft Copper Insert. The thinking is that once you are accustomed to the feel of a certain putter in your hands, you can swap out the insert depending on the speed of the greens you are playing or the feel at impact you desire. I like the idea. Here is the system on a M402 Prototype.
  25. Definitely is R, it's 7mm shallower and quite a bit wider from heel to toe which is why I'm very excited to hit it.
