  1. Send me an email at gocchin @ tourspecgolf.com and I can help you out.
  2. The AD forged are probably the largest Mizuno JPX forged irons ever, chunky and bulky. In the mid sized CB comparo I did last year it was by far the largest. http://www.golftoimpress.com/forged-cavity-back-shootout-part-a1-design-and-aesthics/
  3. B, Thanks for the great stories. There are so many great clubs out there for people who aren't familiar with JDM. Thanks for being an ambassador and introducing. Same goes for many of you on this forum who do the same!
  4. I love the 2010 model and gamed the standard V Forged last year.. .not only awesome feel but I was surprised at how forgiving they were and their distance. I yearn to play them again!
  5. Steve glad we were able to put together some shafts for you. Do let me know how they work. If you need help with the install just let me know.
  6. I'm a fan of going softer as it provides more feel and ultimately more distance but if you have control issues S you should probably go stiff. If not there is always Firm Flex which could match your swing speed range a well. We should consider what club this is going in as well and what length.
  7. Yes the standard models are either plated or the black finish like the ones I have and reviewed on the blog a few months ago. How are the raws holding up?
  8. The Crazy would be stiffer by about 10CPM. The FEX Proto would also be stiffer.
  9. I was up at 4am to watch here in Japan. USA played a dominant attacking game and had more chances. Japan never gave up and came back from being down on two occasions to win. It was a great tournament for Japan beating the hosts Germany, much larger Swedes and then world number 1 USA to win. This morning they arrived at Narita airport to a heros welcome. The win is very good for Japan's spirits.
  10. Yeah its the same here in Japan, just leaving any of my raw wedges sitting around, rust spots will form due to humidity. Let us know how they go. Should be nice with the Spinners.
  11. That was a very good and soft head. It felt simply awesome at impact and I wish I still had it. I am trying to remember what shaft I had in there.... it was a long time ago so if I remember correctly it was an Axiv Driver shaft. Match a shaft with good feel with that head and expect great results. The 9003 might work very well but the DI may have better feel.
  12. Like Stew I can only play the Ryoma at the moment as well... its been the number one in my bag for 6 months. I have one with a CB46 and the other with the stock shaft and yes the stock shaft is actually not too bad at all. For many average golfers and slower swingers it will do a good job.
  13. Both the 9003/P9003 are legendary in their own right. Dominant shafts from the mid 2000's on the Japanese tour. They were and are still great shafts but time, materials and design have caught up to them a bit. C, I thought you were doing so well and liking the FEX so much... what happened there?
  14. The D/S really isn't made for hitting off the deck. It's large head, deep face shout hit me off the tee. It certainly is a driver replacement which most customers buy it for. The TRC FW's however are great off the deck and have superb feel and pop as well as very good control.
  15. Hi J, The Noir LS is the lowest spinning shaft in the Crazy lineup. It has a mid to higher trajectory with lots of carry but great run too thanks to 2000ish rpm from better players. It's considered a high end distance shaft by Crazy. Of course though we have already decided on the Black 46 for you which is very highly regarded.
  16. The very reliable quattrotech has long been a favorite FW shaft because it is simply so stable. Many Japanese pros still use the QT in the FW's. Both the DI and DJ spin less than the MD and frankly they are all good FW choices. It depends on the swing and the desired trajectory and spin.
  17. You're very welcome Stan. Beautiful endo forged irons indeed. I did do a review on them on the blog so here are some pics for those who want to see how they look
  18. Honma 5 Star shafts are some of the most expensive on the market. Their 5 Star set of irons is even more than what you noted. Retail is around 5750.00 PER Iron.
  19. The good thing about the SF shaft is it comes just as heavy as the 950. RC actually recommends this shaft for their UT's.
  20. CB-46 higher torque, more feel, more draw oriented but great at resisting hooks. Mid to higher launch low spin. 46t 55-65g. The 80LS II, very low spin, probably lowest in the Crazy lineuo. 80t, heavier, slightly less more glassy feel. Lower trajectory than the CB46. The CB46 is one of the best all around distance shafts.
  21. These still spin well thanks the milled faces. The protos are raw so you will have to maintain.
  22. Stew, I think you misread what Craig said... he said he hits 7% MORE fairways with the Ryoma. I think when he said he "thought" the Ryoma would hit more fairways he was confirming that it does and not that it didn't. I have to agree though, I can hit a poor drive with the Ryoma and bare lose distance and still go straight. In the end thats why it stays in the bag.
  23. Exact same club I have. I love it and it actually makes my egg spoon sit. The ONOFF excels as I can tee off with it as well and the length is perfect for me. As Steve said it feels great!
  24. I'm not sure if it has a counter weight with steel shafts, but if it does it would make sense as it would be to keep the swing weight down. As you guys noticed it already is a heavy feeling club thanks to its higher weight heads. The heavier shaft would bump up swingweight by another 3 points which would be countered by the counter weight. On another note... the TRC Utility has been chosen as Golf Club of the Year for Utilities in Japan.
