  1. Do the JDM folks pay players to play their clubs the way the US OEM's do??
  2. Thanks T!!!! I'll be dreaming tonight about building a set of clubs in the On Off Tour van. All of the vans look like you could eat off of the floor...
  3. Claus, Have you rolled a Yes and a Premium Zone side by side for comparison?? I did, extensively. For me, the Premium Zone insert was better. Seemed more consistant. Comparing them side by side was what made me decide to have the master try and duplicate the PZ insert. Never looked back. But to answer your question I would bet that the Master could make an insert patterend after the C-groove.
  4. I have many, many Cameron Putters. My gamer was an SSS Newport Beach that Scotty himself customized for me to my specs. I had it in the bag for almost a year. My Golds Putter is so much better it's almost sad. IMO - A Custom Golds is better that any Tour Scotty. I didn't think there would ever be a day I would say that any Putter was better than my Scotty...
  5. Nick, 501's??? Quite a big change for a blade man. Why not the 301's?? Still blade like but more forgiving... IMO a blade man could live with the 301's, not sure about the 501's.
  6. PX

I don't know why not.... not sure why they wouldn't be if you requested them?? Perhaps some of the other shafts you've mentioned are very similar?? I would have to assume they are just not JDM in any way... Anyone else?? I have not hit these shafts. Just about every other shaft... what makes them better than the rest??

And I am just the opposite... I don't like the feel of the NSPro's at all... but LOVE the BG's in the Epon wedges... The Nippons feel boardy to me, I get much better feel with the BG's. Stiff flex
  8. anyone else have one ordered yet?? if so, what shaft did you decide on??
  9. Very anxious for your full review. You must admit just by holding that beauty in your hands you have something very special. I'm confident you will find this putter to be all it's billed to be and more. Congrats on a one of a kind Putter that was made for you by the Master.

I am currently playing the Roddio shaft in my Driver. Probably the longest I have played any Driver/shaft combo in years. I believe it comes down to matching your swing properly. When I swing the driver the way I should I am getting fantastic results. When I over swing.. swing to fast... no, it doesn't perform properly. But when I'm swinging the swing (smooth-tempo oriented) I am trying to swing on a consistant basis the shaft works and feels perfect. Regardless of the shaft you choose... know your swing speed, tempo etc. so you can be fit correctly.

That Putter is just drop dead GORGEOUS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  13. Superkunk - WITB http://forum.tourspecgolf.com/index.php?showtopic=25778 Feel wise (which is just amazing) compared to the regular J's, which I use for my range sessions... I believe their is a slight difference. Even the sound seems to be a bit more muted. However, without being able to compare them side by side I don't think most people would ever notice the difference.
  14. My Lie specs are much flatter than standard. If I try and bend Irons 2-3* flatter than stock the finish is always in jeopardy. My lie for the PW is 61*. I then go .5* flatter for each Iron. ex. 9i - 60.5* 8 iron - 60* 7 iron 59.5* etc. Shafts are TT Black Golds - Stiff Flex, soft stepped. Tour Velvet grips... still my favorite grip. Length and loft are standard. Played my second round with my new babies today.... I am in love. The Look, the feel, the Performance. All are everything I hoped for. I will be playing these for quite some time. Claus: As you know, I also have a set of J's with the Copper finish. I have played at least 30-35 rounds with those Irons. they are wearing like Iron.. (pun intended) seriously... they still look fantastic. No rust No finish issues at all. I'll get some pictures taken of them and post them soon. The durability of that finish made it easy for me to order the new AF301's with the Black Copper finish. If you get these Irons shafted with the right shaft for you... I just can't imagine why you wouldn't love these irons...
  15. First 18 under my belt with my new babies... What a JOY it was. I've been striking the ball pretty well as of late and the feel today from these Irons was outstanding. Consistency and accuracy was right on the money as well. I just simply couldn't be happier in every way possible. Thanks to all for the kind words.
  16. Just received them a couple of days a go. They look fantastic. These babies are custom built in just about every way possible. I know they are going to be fantastic because I love my J's I've been playing with the last several months. I consider myself a low handicapper and believe these irons are a great fit. It always surprises me when guys don't get along with these for what ever reason. Headed to the Golf Course in about an hour to play my first round with them.
  17. Yes. Most similar to the Cameron Newport II and the Premium Zone #2

Driver stats look darn impressive!!!! BUT... I have such a hard time looking down at these unconventional shaped Drivers.... I picked up a square Callaway the other day.... So ugly... I don't think I could play with it. Just can't get over the shape. At least the Epon has some resemblance to the traditional (rounded)look.

Cool!!!!! I'd like a new Driver that hits it 325 yrds down the middle of the fairway everytime regardless of how bad a swing I make.
  20. Check out the pics in this thread... http://forum.tourspecgolf.com/index.ph...l=golds+factory This is the first Putter made with the Premium Zone Insert by the Master, Sasaya.
  21. This is a good suggestion... but the feel with the Golds is much better IMO. The Golds sits/sets up much better also. It would help in seeing the difference on how the ball rolls with this type of insert. This particular insert simply allows you to roll the ball better. I am living proof that it works. I like to use my Putter if I am just off the green on fairly short grass. By moving the ball slightly forward in my stance this combo picks the ball up and gives an excellent roll even though you are rolling it on longer grass to begin with. I've not seen anyone re-sell this combo once they get their hands on it.
  22. It has been my experience that the TT 200 - 300 shafts do not provide any club with a great feel. For me the S200's - 300's are okay but that's about it. However, the TT Black Golds, to me, feel great. I like that I seem to get great consistancy out of them as well. I have not played the GS shaft so I cannot comment on them, but I would suggest giving the Black Gold Shafts a try for comparison unless you just plain ol prefer a light weight shaft. Good Luck. I still believe your Epons matched with the right shaft for you will provide you the feel and performance you are expecting.
  23. T I don't think their are any of us that don't appreciate your time and effort in scanning, posting and narrating these reviews. Thank you, great reading and information.

This particular insert was designed to get the ball rolling quicker. It reduces "skidding". Trust me when I tell you that it does. It puts the best roll on a ball of any Putter I have ever used. I've tried just about all of them. Many forum members here swear by the G-Field Putters with this same type insert. Golds Factory takes this to a new level in feel, quality, performance and customization. Perhaps with a low quality Putter maker. To me this isn't an issue with the Golds. I will put my premium zone insert Putters up against any milled Putter any day when it comes to quality and performance. Performance wise, NOTHING I have ever Putt with comes close. IMO their isn't a milled Putter out there that can compete with this set up from Master Sasaya. I can't wait for Lung-chia's review.
