LOL--IMO--these surpass the Type J, R7 Forged, MP32's in the feel dept and thats saying a lot because I absolutely love those 3 irons.. I need a set of these when the weather breaks here...the workability and ease of hitting of this players cavity intrigues me

The TC770's say forged in the cavity NSPRO 950 stiff TB-1000 has a S200 in it I have read where the cast version of these is even softer feeling Can't see how any club could be...but I haven't hit them all

I recently got 2 demos from Chris of the Fourteen TB-1000 forged and the TC-770 Before today --the best iron I've ever hit in my life in regards to feel is a well struck R7 Forged iron.....LOVE the feel ---but for whatever reason I can't score with them. Recently got a set of Mizuno MP-32's and love everything about them--and the feel is great-along with workablility--ball flight--look at address..ect..ect So I got these 2 demos in to hit beside the 32's......first off I have to say I had to shovel snow off of a range mat a day in advance before I hit. Next day it warmed up to a balmy 40* and I went to hit, The TB-1000 is soft--very soft---easily workable in either direction. Great feel! I thought it looked small before I hit-but it never was a thought after a few hits-and actually about the same size as the MP32's Pretty forgiving for a true blade--which is not what you're really looking for with this type of iron--but suprisingly so...very impressed Now to the TC-770 ... If the TB-1000 and the Mizuno MP32 have great feel (which they do) --and the R7 forged is the best feeling iron I've ever hit (which it WAS) then the TC-770 has SUPER feel!! I used to describe the R7's as "when you hit them flush-you just have to shake your head in amazement on just how good an iron can feel" Well--they still do--but there is at least 1 iron that feels better! -- The Fourteen TC-770 is now hands down the best feeling iron I've ever had my hands on (and this is all in 35*-40* temps with snow on the ground) Penetrating mid-high ball flight and very workable also --more so than other players cavities I've hit I don't have time to put these in to play because its the dead of winter here right now--but after hitting extensively off the range --I can't see how there can possibly be a better players cavity than these..These are impressive big time The TB-1000's are great also in blades--but no time to fully compare them in game conditions to the MP32's
  4. Looking for new or pullout driver shafts. Must be at least 43" raw length Regular-firm-stiff-X Weight range in the 60's to 75gr only .335 tip only Interested in the following:: Diamana Red / Blue Ozik Codes / Altus Axiv V Spec or any other high end shaft Shoot me an email if you have any....thanks [email protected]
  5. When you get to this level of iron-its all personal preference. I've had the Type J's and the R7 Forged twice,,,,never deciding which one I liked better.. Never had the X's but hear they are as nice as these and even more forgiving, which both of these are very forgiving for a players cb.. Absolutely can't go wrong with any of these

Epon 460 driver, Epon Type J irons, G-Field Premium Zone #0, TaylorMade R7 Forged, Miura CB-201's for me
  7. Just one more thing to add.. This Epon 460 9.5 Ozik Code 6 is so freaky long that my 4some is blaming me for using a non-conforming driver.. Thats the best compliment I've heard about the Epon / Ozik :tsg_smilie_cool: Its THAT LONG!! I can't wait to play in the summer when the ground firms up and warmer temps
  8. Just got my Epon 460 Ozik Code 6 yesterday Played 18 holes yesterday and today OH MAMA!!!!!!! What an explosion at impact!!! Someone here already posted the Epon is like a TM 510DF on steriods....thats exactly right!! Suprisingly and shockingly longer than all the tour issue driver/shaft combo I ever used Another thing I did was discuss the flex with Chris several times before I bought.. After reading Chris's reports about most golfers play a driver thats too stiff, we decided to try the Code 6 in firm flex...leaving the length at 45.25 so I had room to tip it stiffer if need be. I've played stiff and X all my life but was willing to take a chance with the firm flex although fully expecting it to be too soft.. ITS NOT This driver is staying as is...period! The comination of this head..with this shaft.. and this flex is easily longer and with total control --with an easier swing --than I've ever hit. The ball just wants to carry and not come down...then hits the ground running
  9. Chris, I have a whole course here I can help you test on!! Of course I'd probably love every club you sent and would have to buy them!!! :tsg_smilie_whistle:

Whats the difference in the Fourteen MT-28 Low Bounce and the V2 or even V3
  11. I have a Axiv 6568M in a Comp and like it.. Longest driver I ever played was a Comp with a Blue Diamana 73X but it wasn't that easy to hit high when needed to be. I'm looking for a shaft that I can draw the ball with--like to hit mid-high boring shots that hit the ground running. There are a par 5 few holes on the course where I have to get the ball up in a hurry to carry doglegs.. I've play anything from S to X flex but want something I'm going to keep for a while and tune my swing too.. I don't want to change my swing anymore to fit the shaft Don't want it to be too stiff where it feels boardy or not workable either.. 6 iron ss was measured at 97 --but never had my driver ss checked--I imagine its 105-110. But I try to swing smooth and not out of my shoes--thats my best results. I'm tired of going through the whole line up of shafts I've always played and these newer import shafts look like the ticket.. Just don't know which one. Looking at the Axiv V Spec, Drev, Machline, Qauttro Tech, Diamana's, and Ozik Code 6
  12. Too many new shafts for me to keep up with. Which ones are getting the best reviews?? How do the Drev and Machline stack up agains the likes of the Mamiya Axiv V spec, Oziks, Diamana's I need one for a 460 Epon :tsg_smilie_whistle:
  13. You won't be dissapointed!! :tsg_smilie_cool:

  16. I have a real nice 9.5 w/ Mamiya Axiv 6568 T*** serial numbers --head sits square The Mamiya shaft is well documented on this forum $300 shipped if interested [email protected]
  17. That Axiv 6568 is gonna be hard to beat.. REAL HARD If there is a shaft that does---I want it The Graman "Limey" shafts are very impressive also
  18. Chris, How is the testing going?? Any current results???
  19. My opinion is the R7 Forged irons are the best irons I've ever played..period Workable, fairly easy to hit, forgiving, feel you can only imagine..excellent distance control.. I don't know where these are forged and really don't care.. The feel is incredible!! Playable from any type lie or ground surface for me.. These not only rank with some of the best Tour Issue Miura Forged TaylorMade irons I've played--they're better overall in every aspect IMO Theres only 1 set I've hit that could give these a run for the bag--Epon Type J's...But I didn't play them to give them a chance.... They came and went thru the revolving door too fast The door stopped when the R7 Forged hit the bag :tsg_smilie_cool:
  20. I just played my first round with the Epon J's Nippon 1150 stiff.. All I can say is If you're a decent ball striker--there cannot be a better iron... PERIOD There might be other irons just as good--but none any better. Workability, forgiving, top line, sole design, Feel you can only dream about! The only thing this iron could possibly lack is major forgiveness out on the extreme toe or heel...something I could care less about anyway.. They are plenty forgiving enough :tsg_smilie_cool: I can't remember a time when there was so many excellent iron choices to pick from.. The feel and playbility of these new sets really take irons to a new level.
  21. I have a set of the Type J coming from Chris, but I hit another guys set today.. same as I ordered----with Nippon 1150 Stiff I can't possibly imagine any iron feeling any better than this..What an iron!! EVERYTHING that has been said about the Type J's is true I was content to wait on mine--now I'm not Chris...how much for faster delivery???? C'mon -you have connections!!! :tsg_smilie_cool:
  22. Lennie and Chris, How do these stack up as far as size and offset against the newer Rac TP's?? Are these a easy to hit iron or a more demading? How do the offset compare to other irons also?? I'm on the hunt for irons and its going to be these, Epon Type J or the Srixon 600's..
