I have a 510 DF original proto titanium on toe etc. etc.The club developed a rattle so I decided to pull the shaft and see if I could get it out.I got the shaft out no problem I own a god shaft extractor and got the plug out in the hosel.I blew some air in the heads through the hosel and still couldnt get the piece to eject.I then tried to heat the sole of the club witha heat gun no torch to see if the piece would melt and stick.it worked to my supris no more rattle.BUT after I reshafted and hit the club it no longer posesses that DF solid sound more like a retail head???????????Whats up with that?Do these heads have a internal weighting system as well as the weight ports on them?Did I overheat something.?Help please anyone.

Previous guy who reshafted the club must have drop a plastic plug or epoxy.

It required quite a lot of patient to blow it w/ a compressor and pinch it in the corner w/ a hot red thin wire to cut the piece in two and blow it out.

Or if you have room to add weight internally, then just inject epoxy mixture about 1-2 swing weight to catch the piece and let it dry on it over night.

It's been my experience that some manufacturers add a small amount of glue to the head during the assembly process. I'm not exactly sure why this is, but sometimes the easiest way to fix a rattle is a blowtorch on the bottom of the club for a few seconds then let the glue catch the rattle. I'd say about 25% of the time that works, depending on the manufacturer. That may be what you experienced when the rattle temporarily went away.
