September 28, 200420 yr Who produces lower trajectory irons? Are your MR23's going to high? they have a pretty high C.O.G, Project X shafts should help keep it boring also.

But I just put some X-100's in and that has helped a lot. When I think about my old set of TM 300 forged irons with Flighted Rifle 6.5's they had fairly decent trajectories. Any other irons with a low trajectory? Thanks
September 29, 200420 yr Author Who produces lower trajectory irons? RAC LT's Thanks Zip. At least there's one iron to look at. :smile2: Jeez I guess there aren't any other lower trajectory irons made by any manufacturers in the whole world, huh? :surprize:
September 29, 200420 yr Yeah, Rac LT irons for a cavity back are good for a lower trajectory. But when your looking for a lower trajectory with a higher COG you will have to go blades. Like the Mizuno MP-37 or the Titleist 670 irons. Cavity backs are hard to find to help hit the ball lower. The RAC Muira CB irons hit low IMO also. But probably the best bet is to change the shafts with a higher kick point. Good luck
September 29, 200420 yr Author Thanks Breal. Yeah, I'm definitely looking for blades but I had heard the MP-37 and the Titleist 670 were lower COG so they produced higher ball flights. But I never tried them except in the practice net. I changed my shafts last week (Rifle 7 to DG X-100) and this helped some but I'm definitely looking for an even lower result.
September 29, 200420 yr I always thought the COG is higher in the MP37's :-D The Srixon I-404's are supposed to be lower trajectory but I know your looking for blades.
September 30, 200420 yr for cavity backs, i noticed the ball flies pretty low with the 300TL and the MR23 blades, i guess a basic rule of thumb is to see where the weight of the club head is centered...if all the mass is on the sole or there is tungsten in the sole, the club is gonna go high, if the muscle is in the middle, muscle backs, the club is low, and if you go back to the butter knife baldes of the 1970s, those suckers dont elevate the ball at all, especcially the gary player blades !

The 680's rather than the 670's should solve your problem, as long as you don't mind blades as a change of pace.
September 30, 200420 yr I have found the MP-29's hit the ball on the low side . But as you know they are no longer made so finding a good condition used set is all you have left .

LOL Mine are the blades. I was considering the 680's but I'm leaning towards the 37's but it'd be great if I could compare the two side by side.
