When I think about my old set of TM 300 forged irons with Flighted Rifle 6.5's they had fairly decent trajectories. Any other irons with a low trajectory? Breal Posted September 29, 2004 Report Share Posted September 29, 2004 Yeah, Rac LT irons for a cavity back are good for a lower trajectory. But when your looking for a lower trajectory with a higher COG you will have to go blades. Like the Mizuno MP-37 or the Titleist 670 irons. Cavity backs are hard to find to help hit the ball lower. The RAC Muira CB irons hit low IMO also. But probably the best bet is to change the shafts with a higher kick point. Good luck Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Yeah, I'm definitely looking for blades but I had heard the MP-37 and the Titleist 670 were lower COG so they produced higher ball flights. But I never tried them except in the practice net. robbie Posted September 30, 2004 Report Share Posted September 30, 2004 for cavity backs, i noticed the ball flies pretty low with the 300TL and the MR23 blades, i guess a basic rule of thumb is to see where the weight of the club head is centered...if all the mass is on the sole or there is tungsten in the sole, the club is gonna go high, if the muscle is in the middle, muscle backs, the club is low, and if you go back to the butter knife baldes of the 1970s, those suckers dont elevate the ball at all, especcially the gary player blades ! LOL Mine are the blades. :wink: I was considering the 680's but I'm leaning towards the 37's but it'd be great if I could compare the two side by side.
