+TourSpecGolfer
Paul, Whats the difference between U.S Spec Zodia and Japan Premium wedges?
Guest
Chris, The US Spec wedges are designed to US Tour players specs. Meaning the head weights are heavier while the grind and shape is taylored to US Tour players tastes. I am told there is one more important difference. Chiba-san, the man behind Zodia, is supposed to be hand grinding these wedges himself. Basically, they are a limited edition wedge. I understand that Zodia Japan has become similar to Scotty Cameron in America. What I mean is in order to keep up with demand, he has most of his wedges done by apprentices. The US Specs are guaranteed to be done by Chiba-san himself. For those who are not familiar with him, his clientele include Els and O'Meara among others.
