The tip diamater is .335, but the length is going to be a little short. I want the driver 44.5" with a swing weight around D3 or D4. The driver has a Speeder shaft in it now at 45". If I'm not mistaken I believe the Aldila weighs more than the speeder, so couldn't get by with the Aldila at 44.5". The main question I have is how would an inch extension affect the play of the shaft in my driver? If your clubs are made longer, they gain more weight. Each ½” in club length equals 3 swingweights. If you put a new shaft in that is heavier or one that has a lower balance point than your current shaft, you will get a higher weight as well. Something you might keep in mind: If you have heavier grips installed on your clubs, the total weight will increase, but the swingweight will decrease. Will the extension affect the weight and playability. It's going to be a lot heavier. I figured it was butt trimmed as Aldila recommends that. As far as playability, that completely depends on you. Just by looking at the specs, I'd say Low Trajectory. If you have a tendency to slice or leave the head open a little, it might add to that.
