+TourSpecGolfer
Even though the masses arnt really diggin the new designs, I think its a step in the right direction, I'm so tired of traditional looking designs and concepts, Modern is the way to go. Overused model names make me sick also, usually two letters and 2 numbers MR-23, MP-33, GA01, etc etc yuck! Someone needs to be creative and innovative and I'm glad callaway is doing so with a more futuristic and modern look. I wonder if these are forged? Godfather1
I don't think it's such a bad design. To me it looks like the x blade cb's with a cutout where the tungsten would be, and with some pizzaz. I would give these a try right after I can decide on the m-stamp-27 or gauge combo, those are classic.

Yes they are forged but supposedly the back isn't - a two piece design that is welded together
Breal
Hey if they work, and are solid, then you stick greens by the pin all day with a club less, who cares what they look like. I going to give them a good look and try just to see. IMO
freddiec
Wow, ok, those sticks look really cool. I can't wait to see them in person. Nice, very nice. :surprize:

BigEasy
I like the design of the new Fusion irons better for some reason.
madball
Also I heard that Callaway is coming out with ERC Fusion Irons around Christmas or early January. Any news on those? These are already out on ebay.
nudgeegolf
The Cally Fusion iron is already out in Australia so I would have thought that they would be out in US already by now as we seem to be always behind US. They do look a lot better in real life but I will wait for the X 18 - X Tours they are sweeeeeet
nietzscheman
I contacted Callaway about the availability of the X-Tour irons and here is their reply, "Dear Mr. Lyons, Thank you for your recent E-mail. We were pleased to hear of your interest in Callaway Golf, and appreciate you taking the time to contact us with your inquiry. In response to your inquiry, as the X-Tour irons are prototype irons, we have no information regarding their specifications, or the possibility of them being available in retailers. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. At Callaway Golf, we are constantly striving to produce equipment that is demonstrably superior to and pleasingly different from that of our competition. Putting products in play on the Pro Tour is our final phase of testing and if they are successful on tour, the decision may be made to offer them in retailers. If you have any further questions, please call our Consumer Relations Department at (800) 588-9836. Our business hours are Monday through Friday, 6:00am to 5:00pm Pacific Standard Time. The Representative you speak with will be happy to assist you in any way possible. Thank you. Callaway Golf Customer Service" I am bummed :wah: because I was hoping to pick up a set. I think Callaway stock might be a good buy right now. With Mickelson onboard, Hank Kuehne going to Top Flite and perhaps Chad Campbell coming on as a staff pro and with the success of the HX Tour ball, I think Callaway is set for a rebound. Now if they could only make a decent driver! :spit:
