Posted October 15, 200420 yr comment_60261 O.K. I became a shaft junkie this year. I just could not stop. Yes I have a problem. Here is what went into my 510 TP this year: 757 stock - just felt to wippy. 757 tipped 1/2 inch - still felt like something is missing NV 65 tipped 1/2 then 3/4 no umff NV75 tipped 1/2 inch - smooth " but there must be something better " 660 TR X untipped - nice but just a little stiff - so 660 TR S tipped 1/2 inch - no happy with the distance SIX X untipped - long but very high ball flight - still easy and fun to hit Just thought I needed to confess. :money:
October 15, 200420 yr comment_60262 Shaft HO!!! In capital letters  At least all those shafts went into the same club . 757 S in a 540 Tour Issue , didn't like the feel = sell club on eBay 661 S Tipped 1/2" in a 510 Mid , was not happy with the ball flight = sell club on eBay . 660 X Untipped in a TP Tour too stiff for a old Guy = sell shaft b/s/t 660 S tipped 3/4" in a 510 DF jury is still out on that one . And last finally 660 S tipped 3/4" in a R500 , is in the bag and is going to stay there for the forseeable future . :money:

October 15, 200420 yr comment_60282 I honestly was a shaft ho also, and did everything I could to find what I wanted, with really o.k. results but not what I wanted. Then I bit the bullet and went to an experienced club fitter with all the new tech and cool stuff. Payed the 50 bucks he found the shaft, spin , launch angle , and the perfect ball for me. It was the best thing I ever did. We tweaked the R7 bolt to work nice for me, then found the right shaft which was a 757 1/4 inch tipped in stiff, and found the Srixon URX was the best ball for spin and launch angle. It was like a match made in heaven. I highly recommend it. I picked up 15 to 20 yards. and way more accurate. Good luck try it.
October 15, 200420 yr comment_60297 I tried a few shafts over the years but I consider myself lucky since putting a Fujikura 757 X in my driver back in Sept. 2002. A couple months later I decided to put another one in my 3 wood and it's been smooth sailing ever since. I couldn't be happier. The Fujikura is an investment but well worth the cost considering how much I've saved not being a shaft junkie...not that being a shaft junkie's bad or anything.

October 15, 200420 yr comment_60303 Friends, here's something else to consider ... ACCRA. You know how much I like Fuji shafts but I must admit I'm quite impressed with Accra shafts. Tried recently a SE80 ... although it is not even the perfect fit for my game the results were unreal. This thing is so tight but with tons of feel (that's something for 1.5* of torque) it's unreal. Was so impressed that I decided to give the for my swing better suited SC75 a try without actually having demoed it. Can't wait to compare my beloved 757 with the SC75 ... haribo
October 16, 200420 yr comment_60364 I played all Fujis this year.. 660-->671-->761-->HKpro80-->Blue Tour Spec Proto-->652, 553, 757. HM4, SKW, Pro95, and a couple I can't remember, I got a few pullouts that I may sell since I am happy with the 671 and the Blue tour spec!

When I had it done (2 years ago) I didn't know anything about tipping. The guy who reshafted the 3 wood had also reshafted my driver. I only requested a length and a swingweight.

October 17, 200420 yr comment_60538 Hmmmmm? Shafts I have played this year. I started off the year with a Speeder 757 in a 510 TP sold it Then moved to a NV Green 75, in a Eye O matic M43, way too boardy of a feel for me and it was stolen Then I went with an Accra SC 75 M4 in my R7 loved it but wanted to try the SE 80 Moved to the SE 80, great shaft, love it, keeping it in my back up driver, an 510 mid now moving back to an SC 75 M4 in a R7 Tp head and will be staying there for a long time. I absolutly love the Accra line.
October 17, 200420 yr comment_60561 Holy crap, there's not enough bandwith on this site for me to list all the different shafts I've tried this year!
