EdChoi
I have read all the posts on the j340 head around here and have a friend who plays one, and I have to admit, I want to try it. The only head I have been able to find is an 8.5 ... I currently play a 983E in 9.5 with a pro launch. The ball flight is very high, but I could live with a lower ballflight. I have just been worried that I would hit line drives that launch too low... FWIW, ss 105-110, more of a swinger though, and plan to put an accra sc75 m4 shaft in it. Or does anyone have a 9.5 head they want to sell? Thanks for whatever input you guys can give.

I have a problem with titleist giving customers higher than stated lofts. Please check it out yourself, last year i checked and something like 19 of 22 drivers were over half a degree up in loft. some 9.5's were 11.2 :wah: Every Tourstage prototype driver I have had has always played to or close to loft. i would guess less than a half degree difference at the worse
CurtR
I had a J340 that was said to be 10*. It had a stiff Fujikura SKW shaft installed. I could not get the ball to a high enough trajectory of suit my swing. I have a Taylor Made 300 tour 9.5* head with the same shaft that offers a perfect trajectory. That leads me to one of two conclusions. Either the head was not 10* as advertised(and there are no markings on the head that lists the loft) or it has a very high center of gravity. By the way it is not the most forgiving driver on the market however I would add that when you hit it dead nuts it goes forever with a ton of roll. In any case I have since sold it and went to the 9.5* R510 DF. And I made a more recent change to the TM R7 tour head in 9.5* with a M-4 accra shaft. A perfect head shaft combination. EdChoi
Thanks for the input curt, being that you are playing the same shaft I have waiting to find a new head, what kind of ss do you have? swinger hitter? thanks :-) I am looking at trying a 510tp head, but am debating between 9.5 and 10.
CurtR
My driver clubhead speed is in the 100 mph range +/- 2. My SKW shaft is stiff flex and it is untipped. Being that the SKW is a high kick shaft I would go with the 10.5* R510 TP.
