Godfather1
I am thinking of putting a I-65 which has 2.2 deg. of tq.. I usually play a 9.5, or 10 deg loft, would I be better off going with a 3.0 tq. shaft in a 9 deg. of loft driver.
TourGolfJeff
Godtaher, Torque is only one specification of a shaft. The difference in the 2.2 and 3.0 is not all that great. Plus, without knowing the cpm and flex characteristics of the two shafts, it is hard to say how the 3.0 will play.
Godfather1
If it helps I am talking about the graphite design I-65, and M-75. My ss is about 105, from what I understand torque only makes a difference if your shootin pellets like vijay.
TourGolfJeff
GodFather, The shafts you mention are not on the Graphite Design website - at least I couldn't find them. That said, assuming the specs of the two shafts are similar, you will not see any notceable ball flight/feel differences from shaft torque differences of less than 1 degree of torque. Jeff: Most of the guys here are getting imported shafts and clubs. Check out the catalog section. Here's the link to the GD Japan site. http://www.gd-inc.co.jp/

If you tend to slice, you can help yourself out with a higher Torque. Like 3.6 or above. The lower Torque shafts will not help you in closing the face of the club. Higher torque will help the clubface close and help you take out the right side. So... Higher Torque - good for faders Lower Torque - good for pullers
Godfather1
Thanks for the help guys, after speaking to JK, I decided to go with the M-75 due to the higher weight. One thing that surprised me though was that they are both tip soft shafts I would have preferred a 757 bec. I am a high ball hitter, but only the gd shafts were offered in the x-drive 365. Also some of the gd japan shafts are going to be available in the us. I spoke to a rep. who actually told me he can get me the I-65 already

They've contacted me already to handle the distribution but the whole sale price still in the limbo as of now. I've done my share to let them know what i know and what works and what is not, Now it's up to them that if they want to listen to me or not. I would love to handle it, but i need to be realistic also in handling it. Right? As most of you know that i've been handling their Japan issue shafts for a while now. Don't worry I'm not going to give them up anytime soon as long as the price are within reach. :money: Cheers! Joe
