scratchgolfnut69
I'm pretty sure if you send it as a gift there are no taxes the you would have to pay. I just shipped a club to scotland and was told this is the way to get around it
Mike
radd , you might want to talk to PXEXG about customs fee and or taxes into the UK . I am sure he can give you the low down on whats going on .
Godfather1
If you send it as a gift you don't have to pay a customs charge, but if you send a couple of things at once they might think your selling. I haven't bought any clubs from the uk, but I have bought scotch, and I was told by my shipper not to have the items shipped at once because they will sometimes slap a customs charge. plus1
hey guys im from uk/ireland actually and yeah we do gotta pay pretty hefty customs on stuff comin in. ie if the item was insured for 1000 dollars we would hhave to pay over 200 customs. but if you puy gift or worth 0 value you can definately avoid payin it. only problem your lrft with is that the item being shipped is not insured!!!!!!!!! so its RISKY

jboy
There's no way round it other than to declare the item under $37 or around 19 pounds on the shipping form. Delcaring it a gift makes no diiference, neither does the fact it's a second hand item You're taking a risk low balling the figure if it goes missing. ALso we have to pay VAT on the shipping cost too. I spoke to customs on this in person. There is a way round it, if the part is labelled 'under warranty repair return' but this involves providing evidence of original purchase receipts and VAT paid with VAT numbers, some bogus receipts can do the trick but if caught it's prison or a very hefty fine. Not worth the hassle
tei3rn
What if you knew someone in the US military and had it shipped to the base thru the US Post Office? Just a thought...
alexlai5050
as said above The ways to get around this is the following shipping as a 30 dollar gift or shipping as returned item but you gota have a VAT invoice as said !! its worth the deal if your shipping as a 30 dollar gift, especailly if you buy irons etc.
technomarine
Whenever you live in a socialist or republic of ... country, tax is usually required. For example, Canada, UK, Taiwan, etc. Almost like communist customs.
