fairwayfinder
This is a review of two very high end wedges Specs Hiro M Wedge 56.10 Black with NS850 stiff shaft Mizuno Custom Japan M Stamp Black Satin 60 deg DGS300 After three chipping session this is what I found Everything is from chipping only so far, all around the green play Looks at new- The black looks great on both, the Custom M Stamp only is MUCH simpler making it better to look at, but the Hiro is not bad at all. Both have a great simular shape. Classic styling in both. Feel- The Hiro gets my vote on this one, it may be the shaft but it is a bit more buttery. The Mizuno is Great with a bit more Click, some people like that more, just a personal thing. Wear- Oh Man the Mizuno looks great after hitting tons of balls. The sand shots scratched the face, nothing too bad. The bottom wipes off near new. The Hiro finish looks very worn. Rusting on the bottom even after wiping off after use, we have high humidity. Each sand shot ate right trough the back finish. It shows a nice hitting area mark. Grooves- Both are top notch, I like the Mizuno a bit better on fast stopping shots, the Hiro is also very good. Overall, the Mizunos with the Nippons would win hands down. I like the Mizunos better slightly in playability. The finish on the Hiro is no where near as good as the Mizuno. Both grinds are excelent for me. For your $200 both are premium wedges with the Mizunos winning slightly, because of looks.

fairwayfinder
Its the exact black satin finish Chris had. Its cool, not too matte but not shinny at all.
fairwayfinder
After playing these clubs in the bag I can honestly say these are some of the best Wedges made. The grinds are GREAT on both. The feel on the Hiro M is perfect, not too soft just right. The Mizunos have a bit more click to them. If I could get three Hiros I would. After all is said and done, I'll be ordering a 56 Mizuno and selling the Hiro M Wedge. Its a bit easier on the wallet! look for the Hiro M wedge in the BST forum.
