Does anyone have pics they could share of how the Mizuno flat black or black ox finishes have held up after rounds of play?

Just wondering what kind of wear to expect....and what kind of maintenance might protect. I know the black ox process fades over time, but wondering what kind of upkeep does black finish clubs require.

Thanks...

Any black oxide finish will wear to bear metal after hitting balls. Its the same thing they used on the Rusting Scotty putters. Then it will start to rust. Black oxide is more of a coating than a finish, take care of it as you would a gun barrel.

That means cleaning it with light steel wool, oiling it and wiping it down with flannel after every round and leaving a light coat of oil on in between rounds. At least that's similar with what I had to do with the M-16 before :surprize:
