MGB
What are they going to introduce to replace the 30's? They've been out for at least 2 years now. The 27s are more game improvement than the 30s which is really a player's cb. I hit the 27's the other day. They have a very soft feel, typical of Mizuno, but being used to the feel of a blade, I couldn't tell exactly where on the clubface I hit the ball. A friend with me at the session said they felt like forged Pings.
iawiaw
Looking for opinions on these. Do they have much offset and are they more of a game improvement iron? How are they for feel and forgivness. Thanks Its your standard Mizuno great feel, go borrow MP series irons and test them out. I wouldnt say they are GI irons, the MX23, MX20 etc are way more GI. Mizuno Japan selected the higher quality 27's while Mizzy American went with the MX series. They setup pretty compact, I wouldnt say they are for high handicaps either. Hi, does that mean the MP series is "superior" to the MX series?
dorkman53
The MP series are more "Player's Clubs" for lower handicappers. Some are blades, and the MP-30's are somewhere between full cavity backs and blades. The MX series, like the MX 20 and 23, are more forgiving, typical of cavity backs. It's more of a matter of how much forgiveness you're looking for, rather than one being inherently "better" than the other. They're all pretty high quality.
