ziggy1
Anybody got it? Any feedback? How does it play compared to other common drivers (e.g.510TP) I have currently 3 TM drivers and the best irons I´ve even used (MP-32), but whenever I see a Tourstage product, I think that I have the wrong equipment in my bag... Call me sick and crazy, but I could imagine letting all 3 TM drivers go for one X-Drive.... :surprize:
Godfather1
Right now I have the x-drive 365 pro spec, and the 510tp. The x-drive is really a great driver, it's like shooting bullets. The 510tp is a great driver as well. I'm getting a better trajectory with the 510tp, but I think it's because of the shaft. In general grapite design shaft are not tip stiff. I got my x-drive tipped at 44.5, and I still hit it a bit too high for my liking though it's not balooning I just prefer a lower ball flight. This driver even though it is a pro spec it is still a pretty easy driver to hit. I don't really think you can go wrong with any of these, but I think with the right shaft this thing would be the new launcher. I'm waiting for the diamana to come I'll post a better review after the reshafting.
ziggy1
I would like to get a 365 with 9.5 or 10 degrees, but if I can find one which is 0.5 degrees closed, I could "lay it open" and get the additional loft. Whenever I look at the pics of the 365, I want to have one sooo badly.... Are there any problems of re-shafting due to the foamed head? Any danger of melting the foam and getting a rattle? Godfather1
If you normally play a 9.5 I would not worry about the 9 deg. loft. I was worried about the same thing, and after speaking with Joe I found out that TS drivers tend to have a higher launch. I have a higher ball flight with the x-drive 365 than with my 510 tp in a 9.5 loft. It sets up pretty square and I have no problem hitting a draw, fade, or right down the pipe. I hit my 510 10.5 too high and the 510 9.5 just ok. As long as it´s not lower than the 9.5, it´s perfect. How about re-shafting? Any issues with the foamed head? Godfather1
A quality club builder shouldn't have a problem with it. I'm going to use Joe. He told me he could do it.
