January 19, 200520 yr I'm looking for all opinions about putting a steel shaft in such a head (x-drive type 365). I was thinking of putting a rifle lite, dg, nippon 1050. Anybody try something like this?

Anybody try something like this? Yes, One of my drivers has a Soft Step X100 in a R7 head and I get great results when I really commit and go after the shot. I have lost about 10-15yds which is a lot but accuracy has gone up big time for me. I'm hitting most of the fairways now and shooting lower scores. I have had the same success with the soft step X100 in my FW's also.
