Randy
I played my first round with the MOZ 2030 irons. These are just some of my impressions and will try and do a more in-depth review later. - I'll start with the bottom line. I normall don't hang on to clubs very long as there is always something, although sometimes minor, that has me looking for something else. I liked these clubs so well that I accepted a fairly good sized wager from my playing partner who said I wouldn't be playign these irons in 6 months. There is no doubt in my mind that these will be in my bag for a very long time and way more than 6 months. For reference, in the last 5 months I have played, Gauge CBs, Gauge MBs, MP 32s, RAC CBs, Taylor Made 320s, TM 300s, Tourstage NB32EX, Ping S59s, Ping Eye 2s, Ping I3s, and Callaway (tour) Fusion irons. Looks - Probably the nicest looking set of irons that I have ever owned or seen. Everybody at the course I play at always look to see whats in my bag and this morning, without exception, they all said these irons were the best they have ever seen. The workmanship is absolutely amazing. I like irons with minimal offset and a topline that isn't to thick. These met those desires exactly. Love the way they set up, instills confidence. If you haven't, check out the pictures in another post. Feel - To me this is where the irons really shine. Had to describe exactly, but to me, soft yet crisp. Of all the iron sets I listed above, I thought the Gauge MBs felt the best. Actually, the feel really good, but these MOZ 2030s are even a little better. Forgiveness - Of course these are not as forgiving as the Callaway Fusion irons or TM 320s. I would say they have a little more forgiveness than the NB32EX and RAC CBs, but probably not quite as much as the Gauge CBs. To me, they have about the same forgiveness as the Gauge MBs. You can get away with missing the sweet spot a little and not be penalized to much. I am a 14 handicap and they are forgiving enough for me. Workability - As I stated I am a 14 handicap, so I don't try to work the ball to much. However, I was able to hit some draws and fades today that come off just how I wanted. I was really impressed with the knockdown shots that I was able to play with these irons. Distance and ball flight - These irons are shafted with PX 6.0s. I measured the PW at 47 degrees loft, so I think the lofts are pretty standard. I was hitting these irons 5 to 7 yards further than any of the sets mentioned above, except the Callaway Fusions, and these were equal distance to them. I think it is probably a combination or the irons and the shafts, but the ball flight was high but not balloning. Summary - without a doubt the best set of irons I have ever owned. Maybe not as forgiving as some people would say I should use, but the confidence I have in setup (looks), playability and feel more than makes up for that. They may be pretty expensinve, but well woth it. A special thanks to Chris for hooking me up with the beauties. Very Happy Randy P.S. I shot 83 today with them in the pouring rain. Should have quit, but was having way to much fun playing with these irons. P.S.S. The MOS weges are exceptional. I will review them later. P.S.S. If you get a chance to try the new Bridgestone J33 driver, please do so as I think you will be pretty impressed.

So since your likin your new set how about you let me store your other sets away in a safe place until that bet of yours is over. jeez man 11 sets in 5 months. I dont think ill go through that in a lifetime. BTW why didnt you top it off with an 05 xdrive 405 instead of getting the bridgestone, I mean you gotta go all out right. :money:

Its got 2 diamonds on the sole and came stock square faced with a 757.... and it was still much cheaper than the X-Drive in fact cheaper than the retail J33. Randy
If the J33 is good enough for Appleby (spelling), it is good enough for me.
