bignige
Is it possible to change the kick point of my Purple Ice shaft to give it a faster launch angle i.e. adding lead tape -- any ideas ??
Lowpro
not really, adding lead tape will soften the flex some but not move the kick point.. the PI is a great shaft for a getting a higher launch -- the only to get more height would be to go to a higher loft... or tee it higher but the ball back in the stance some but to make a noticable difference - a higher loft is the trick.. Lowpro
i think i know why you don't hit the purle ice combo further.. the purple ice is 85grams while the vista pro 50 is 50-55grams.. alot of weight difference here and MAYBE the reason it's not performing for you. if oyu add the lead tape -- apply it to the club head--towarda the face or center bottom.. bignige
since changing from an R&A to USGA conforming XD i haven't lost any more than 5 yards max, but with the Vista being a 50grm 'R' & the Ice a 'S' 85grm i think this is were i've lost a little launch hight... i will try a lead strip on the sole towards the face now that i have an idea of where to put it... thanks again for your help.
