Nike's T100 Does anyone know why it never reached the U.S?

Here is a strange one from Nike, It first appeared last Feb at the 04 Japan golf fair with no hype or advertising.

then they all disappeared and Nike never continued production of them after the 2nd run was sold out.

Does any Nike Insider know why? Its a gem of a UT wood with looks to kill, IMO it even feels like its better made than the rest of their stuff.

Looks extremely Kasco-ish. Those Kascos K2Ks (or whatever they were called when they were being sold in the US) were SO easy to hit. This looks like it too.

Strange how they pour time and money into developing something, and then just let it disappear off the face of the earth. :-D

Quite easy to find here in Bangkok too.

Just bought a Nike NDS three woods and like the feel of it very much. Easy to hit and set up very nicely - yet not very impressive distance-wise.

Never knew that the T100 was a highly recommended club. Gotta look for one now. Maybe better wait until it is on discount. Just heard that the T40 was on sale at less than 50 bucks brandnew at a local sport chainstore.

I assume by the looks of that one, it is the one I sent your way. I hope you like it and it works well for you. As pretty as it is and as much interest seems to come to your post here, it was not any easy sell. I wonder why.

It is an expensive club, and hard to find, but not much interest when I put it up for sale.

Enjoy one of Nike's sweetest clubs.

I am wondering the same why the club didn't make it to the USA also. Probally they were a hit when they came out, and the real truth IMO is we just do not get these great clubs in the states. Very nice looking club.

Philippine store price is P12,000. I think the current exchange is US$1=P56ish. Available only in 17-20-23 graphite only, none with NS Pro shafts. If guys are interested and we can get a bulk order I can ask the store for discounts. Let me warn you shipping from the Philippines is EXPENSIVE just check the Fedex/UPS sites.

In Bangkok, it goes for 170 - 180 bucks apiece brand new. For some reasons, Nike golf clubs don't do very well here despite their absurdly popular apparel lines. Since the pro-combo utility has come out and will likely hit the Thai market soon, I'm sure the T-100 will be offered with discounted price shortly. And that's when I will perhaps get myself one.

Having said that, I once saw the T-100 head only on sale at a small dubious golf shop. By dubious, I mean this shop seems to sell lots of fake stuff and knock-offs from China. It cost about 70 or 80 bucks. But that was not something new to me. There are many local golf shops that sell this sort of stuff which I think is illegally imported from China. And since Nike clubs are all made in China, this should not come as a surprise at all.

And maybe this is why Nike clubs don't do very well here despite its quality.
