hue
Has anyone done a head to head comparison of Tour Concept V Project X shafts? Are there any articles comparing the shafts?
hue
What is going on? I thought this was an equipment junky's website. Someone must have compared the two shafts :smile2:
psk114
Honestly, Just go back a couple of pages in this forum, this is posted at least 5 times in a month. You should have no problem finding what you want, just look around a little. Sometimes it's hard to write the same response over and over agian, dont be insulted by a lack of replies. Good luck finding it.

psk114
I have hit both, so I'll give you the quick down and dirty from my POV. The TC's are like a flighted rifle, only they seem to keep the ball down slightly better. They are definitly firmer feeling than flighted rifles, but similar in feel. They definatly have a progressive kick point to help the low irons up and keep the short irons down. The PX's are a different animal. They are hit it higher, but with much less spin. I felt the played as firm as a good ole' dynamic gold, feel wise. Project x's for me seemed to play slightly longer too. I was close to a full club longer with the project x's. I am a high spin player so they probably helped me more than most. Still for the $ I'll always come back to DG x-100's. my $.
+TourSpecGolfer
I have both the PX is better IMO, I don't know why but for me its tighter, longer, and more accurate. Some people say the PX is Bordy but I think it kicks lively when swung correctly.
birdieboy831
Provided you have the correct flex in the PX shaft which is usually .5 LESS than your normal rifle flex they give an exceptional energy "kick" that i did not feel with the TC shaft. Although i did like the Tc shaft very much for what it was. I just felt the X shaft took off like a bullet with less side spin than any shaft around. hue
Thanks for the replies. I am going to stick with Project X.
hornyjuan
Just to spice things up...throw in the NSPRO 1050's as an option. The feel is remarkable compared to the PX's.
wmclarenf1
I think it kicks lively when swung correctly. Those are the operative words. Great shafts the PXs.
dorkman53
I've hit both, but the Project X was in a slightly stiffer flex than the Tour Concept. The Tour Concepts feel silky smooth, yet firm and controllable. The Project X seemed like it really needed to be loaded by hitting down aggressively and taking a robust divot. If the Project X shaft is hit less than flush, it does feel quite boardy, IMHO. Hit it flush, and it feels great, too. Personally, I prefer the Tour Concepts, but I am more of a sweeper than a digger.
JohnnyTN
I played PX 6.5 for almost 2 years... I liked everything about them except for one thing...playability on this half,3/4 shorts. Something I really never got used to. It was always all or nothing with PX..when it was a full shot they were very good. I started using TCi X1 recently and love them so far. I'm getting ready to put some X1 in my Nike Split Cavities very soon..and they will be going in my Rac Protos as well. The TCI's give me everything the PX does and the finesse playability.. I been toying with my LM lately and wish I still have atleast one set of each shaft to do some numbers testing with....
