Posted December 19, 200321 yr I was thinking of getting a NP 2.5 and having the whole thing, shaft and and head done in a 3x black. Is this possible? Or could I just order a black shaft from somewhere without it being graphite?
December 22, 200321 yr I see black shafted DFX 2-Balls and Futuras here I think its a powder coating they use but its a sweet black chrome 8)
December 22, 200321 yr Author hmmm... powder coating is damn expensive... I got the idea from my NP 1.5 Proto which has the black shadow on the shaft. So I guess its possible.
December 22, 200321 yr I would recommend finding a company that can do coatings of that sort. I think a Nickel dark grayish silver would look nice also, Try the phone book and if you find anyone good hey let us all know a good chrome lab is hard to find.
December 22, 200321 yr Author http://www.customclubcoatings.com/They do heads for $30. They do powder coatings... which are cool for driver heads, but putters I don't know about. Anyone got any pics of powder coated putters the pics on thier website suck.
December 22, 200321 yr Author Phillypete, what about the gun blue products? Â JerryMB That stuff was insanely expensive... I would rather send it out that way I have someone less to yell at when it sucks... yeah I'm an optimist :?

December 27, 200321 yr Doesn't Krylon make some new paint formula that sticks to metal? Powder coating a shaft may add a lot of weight to the putter too. There are various shades of Tour Only Studio black coated shafts that I've seen.
March 4, 200420 yr I sent my Scotty Cameron to the guys at CCC and they did an excellent job. It's a flat black color with the lettering done very clean and tidy. I would definitely send a putter to them for refinishing.

March 10, 200420 yr are you talking about who makes the shafts black like we have seen Cameron do? when Cameron does a "black" shaft, is it a black chrome plating on the shaft? what is it exactly?
