I am looking for a 19* club that will primarily be used for 2nd shots into greens. I find I am straight enough with the driver to hit it on pretty much any hole. I am looking at something to bit perfectly into the gap between my SS-03 14* and Nike 3 iron (22*)

I have a few hang ups so just bare with me. I really detest offset, its not a performance issue, but more so it just doesnt fit my eye. I like a traditional looking club but then again thats kind of an oxymoron - traditional hybrid  I am open to anything and price really isnt an issue.

TM Rescue Mid 19* TP or Tour Issue. Retails have too draw bias.

can you please elaborate on why the MD is so good - I have heard a lot of positives but now real specifics!

Either the Hogan CFT  or Cally Heavenwood  . They are both reasonably priced, and have very good playability characteristics. If you go with the CFT's you can prolly pick up 2 different lofts for the price of one MD.

God Bless

Overwhelming response for the MD - I will definitely give it a look! I have a TP 19* on the way and am also looking at the Nike T100 from Chris. Anyone have experience with the T100?

As a matter of interest - would a 21* MD hit too close to my 3 iron?

Another vote for the Sonartec MD. I have a 19* and a 23*, both with the stock IROD shafts. These are quickly becoming money clubs. I have a TM Rescue Mid TP 14*, and the only reason I have it is because the MD didn't come in loft lower than 17*.

With respect to the comment suggesting its difficult to get the MDs airborne, I've found that it's easy to set up like you're hitting a 5-wood with a standard length shaft. You really have to take into account the shorter shaft and set up closer. If I start hitting low, thin shots, I know I'm a little too far away.

BTW, the MDs are great off the tee.

Players Hybrid is called a one iron !!!

All the rest is for sissies with no game

and possibly those who are concerned about improving their scores

That explains why there are absolutely no touring pros who would ever stoop so low as to play a hybrid.

Never assume that Pro golfers use anything because it's good. These guys have sold their golfing souls to the devil.....

if Taylor Made gave them a couple of mil to play golf with their pants down and a RAC dildo up their ass, well, the Koolaiders would be on a well known website remortgaging their homes to get a 2 dot TP version and golf would be shown on the adult channel!

It's all a about shifting units, not about playing well. There's a whole host of guys out there locked into deals with flaky gear they can't play well with, Woods WAS one of them.

The list goes on and on, Curtis Strange, Monty, Woosnam etc etc

You give these guys too much credit, 80% of them play what they play coz it pays well, not because it plays well.
