Okay. So I have the Cleveland HALO hybrid I was hitting a few balls in my backyard when I noticed something. On the face there were scratches that surrounded the location of ball contact. They look like rays coming from the sun, only the sun is a ball and the rays are scratches. My question. Is this a cracked face? It sounds the same as before, but I'm not so sure.

Also. On the bottom of my driver there is a huge scratch. It's not a tiny hair-line scratch, but a big wide long one. Is there a way to A) Fix it, or B) Make it appear to be not as severe? It was from the sand that my club puts down to fill in airated holes.

The Halo scratches sound like sand scratches from dirty balls, not cracks. The Driver Scratch - hard to say if it can be fixed or not. A club refinisher would have to take a look at it.

Thanks!

Yeah, I was hitting balls that were a little dirty.

As for the driver, I'll take it to the refinisher at the end of the year. How much do you think it'll cost?

Try some Mother's Mag Wheel polish. It's a great polish for almost any metal. I use it all the time on my clubs - just not on the paint.

I get mine at WalMart in the auto section. Any auto parts store should have it. About $4.00 - worth a try. You'll find other stuff you will want to use it on as well.
