As you can see from my Avatar I love my Bear.

Aussie here, from Sydney although I'm currently living in Singapore.

I'm in Sydney this week for work and was hoping to get at least one round of golf in, but this damn rain is a PIA, especially since it's not falling where it's needed.

cheers eca.

acually on the first trip home, i only carried one set of clubs back and left a lot with friends.

then i got back to australia, saw how expensive and hard to get all the jdm stuff was and on my back trip to japan a couple of months ago

i filled an empty bag with exquisite gear.

of course, i've now realized i'm never gonna play all this gear so i'm starting to offload a bit of it.

none of the guys i play with appreciate jdm gear though.

they take the p!s$ out of me for playing a yamaha driver, idiots.

cheers eca.

thats typical though. I was testing the Egg px-03, the funny sounding one.. its like.. whats that? sounds like a tin can! PRGR. PR what? But just so happened i'm nutting it and was killing the TEE CB3. So 3 of those guys now know what is PRGR hehe.

Just offload here where it's appreciated :)

cheers eca.

Is there an advantage in buying Japanese products in Japan ? I thought the high local taxes made them too expensive as against buying the same thing elsewhere.

without a doubt cheaper to buy in japan i reckon

not sure what the reasons are, but i suspect it's the simple economic theories of supply, demand and price elasticity at work.

in japan, there is an abundance of gear and real competitiion between many sellers.

once this gear travels overseas though, first there is the addition of transport costs and currency exchange.

then there's comparatively less gear in a market that puts a higher premium put on it, with far fewer sellers.

buyers are therefore more likely to pay higher prices.

on new gear not at all, the premiums are higher in jp

as locals will buy at new price on release. and they dont discount. u want to buy 9 new driver s at 80 ,000 each? sure no probs...,

ull pay 720 ,000 yen. prety sure u wont pay that O/S

the prices for stuff on here are better than is available locally ill assure u

I thought that was the case just as in Britain they pay murderous taxes. However both countries also give very good service to their citizens so it seems fair enough to me.
