Would someone help me by describing its specs/playing characteristics?

Also, would a "R" Flex in it be appropriate for a 91-92 driver SS w/a smooth tempo? Is this shaft best suited for driver? FW?

Thanks a bunch.

I have an R-flex 661 Speeder in my Tsunami 400 driver and really like it. Little smoother feel to me than my previous 757 speeder. Easy to load and no harshness. My SS is in the 103mph range but the shaft holds up fine. I think you'd be OK with your SS as long as there's no tipping. The 661 has been discontinued I believe and replaced with the 652. My understanding is that the specs are very similar, but the 661 was a more expensive shaft to make because of the materials.

Good luck

Most people use it in a driver. In America, the 661 is replaced by the 652 which most guys don't like anywhere near the 661. You can still get the 661 from Japan and it's available on this site. The 661 is fairly easy to load and has a mid to higher trajectory. It has a little "brittle" feeling but it's a good shaft that fits a wide range of golfers.

For that swing speed, I'd definitely stay with Regular flex shafts.
