I was thinking of putting a new shaft in it and wanted to see what all of you think is the best shaft for this head. I was leaning toward that "High Launch" shafts such as the Purple Ice, Pro Launch, or the NVS. I look forward to your feedback.
May 3, 200519 yr comment_93035 First of all, I'd be interested in how far you hit that 4 wood, and how high. Do you play a 3 wood, 13* or 15*? How far do you hit them? I personally am not strong enough or swing fast enough to get a 15* fw wood off the ground, therefore I've gone to a 17* smoothie in place of it. I've shafted mine with a Fuji 757, and I could not be more happy. In my experience with high launch shafts, in that 17* tour head, I would be hitting it high, with spin, and getting no distance at all. :tired: NV 85, Fuji Pro 95, Fuji 869, GD YS-9, just to name a few would be good shafts for that 17* tour.
May 3, 200519 yr Author comment_93036 I do not carry a 3 wood because I seem to have a difficult time getting the ball up them. I currently play a Steelhead Plus 5wd with an x100 in it but have the 200 Tour 17* stilling in my closet. I hit the Steelhead plus around 230. I look forward to your feedback and suggestions.

May 4, 200519 yr comment_93177 i have a tour only aldila cinnamon 75-x that is for sale. has a really soft tip, even softer than the NVS, but has a torque rating of 1.8, so it maintains high launch but low spin... pretty rare shaft. let me know if you are interested.
