Landy
I hit the new 905T 9.5* with the stock Titliest Speeder and I had the following; Spin rate - 2850-2940 Launch angle - 18.1 I plan on hitting a KZG-460-10.5*/ETA and a 454-10*/Speeder 569 on Friday. What are the optimal targets? What should I be looking for? Thank you
Landy
The SS is 87-92 MPH.

Landy
Why? From what I've read that would be too low. Please advise Thank you
benny
Landy, I think your right 8.5* wouldn't give you enough launch. I think with a lower ss you need more initial launch, higher than the advertised 11-13*. I think golf digest or golf magazine did a story a while back that give some peramiters to consider based on swing speed and the results of different launch angles. The guys at Putter Around should be able to help point you in the right direction, and more clearly articulate the relationship of swing speed to launch angle. HTH... sam2011
correct for the most part, you do want to launch it high for carry, but with a soft tip shaft you could maybe get a tad bit more roll out of the lower loft without sactificing a higher launch. it might not work for your swing, but give it a shot. DUBBED
I would say get the higher loft with a slightly heavier, tip stiff shaft. The loft of the club with launch it high and the shaft will give you a flatter ball flight with even less spin than you already have. BUT I'd wait for Joe to chime in before you take any of our advice.

Better late than never , right? You are in the right track on shaft choice idea but It's all depends on his style of hitting the ball and his tempo. If he is a feel player w/ smooth tempo, he is most likely hate tip stiff shaft but yet we need to learn except certain thing if it do us a better result. I would definitely recommend him to a stiffer tip shaft and reg flex but w/ his swing speed , i would recommend a lighter shaft to increase his speed. It'll probably get him around 16*-17* launch angle w/ a spin rate 2400-2600. However the lower the spin rate, it's harder to hit it straight if he is not a consistent swinger. Plus depending on the condition of the course he is playing too ( windy?, Hard ground? etc? ) Basically he/every one of us need to negotiate with the whole element to get a perfect club. This is also why a real avid golfer who knows their stuff ussually have 2-3 sets w/ different set up. :smile1: Good luck! Joe
elnino82
I think you are hitting it too high on the club face. Try to tee it little lower(just half of the ball above the top of the club face). If that is not a problem then you're swinging too stiff at the ball causing you to hit too high on the club face. At your swing speed(87-92mph) it is almost impossible to have both high launch and high spin. It is more of those two problems I mentioned above and less of an epuipment problem. Hope this helps.
