Posted May 23, 200519 yr I am currently looking to change the shaft in my TM 580XD TP. The NVS 75, stiff and tipped 3/4", seems to produce too much spin. I am looking for any suggestions on shafts that help reduce spin. I know some of you out there are way more familar with Fuji's and such and hopefully can point me in the right direction. Any suggestions would be helpful. THANKS

THANKS You are playing w/ NV75 tipped3/4" which IMO already tip stiff enough and on a midhigh kick point area.If you are still having a problem w/ spinng the ball to much, That means you have either a problem hitting down on the ball at impact or you have a club that has to much loft. Do you have a problem on ballooning the ball and very high trajectory? Joe
May 25, 200519 yr Author Joe, thanks for the reply. The current shaft is an NVS not an NV. The loft on the 580XD TP is 7.5*, so I hope that's not too much loft. I currently play in 983e a 771ta inserted 2". Which I really like but have never felt that I can really go after. I was just looking for some insight on which shafts may offer less spin than others. I do have a tendency to hit the balloon shot, which is from a decending blow. I appreciate any other suggestions or insight. Thanks again.

Oops My bad not looking at it carefully on your post. Been too busy lately and got brain dead. :tired: No wonder you are balooning also, it's the NVS ( low kick shaft ) If you do have enough trajectory, you definitely need to pick a stiff tip shaft, w/ a higer kick point shaft. Vista Tour 70 761 rombax BW65 GAT fr GD PM702J fr GD Those are a few that i can think of. Joe
