What is the trimming instructions for the Fuji 771 TA? Also, is there some type of formula for trimming to play stiffer? ie 1 inch of tip trimming makes a stiff play between a stiff and x. I would appreciate any help or suggestions. Thanks

Not trying to thread jack here, but I am also wondering sort of the same thing. I am a 1 handicap with a 109 average mph ss. I am looking at getting a 660TR, ZCOM MW64, Diamana, AD M65, or Axiv. Should I go stiff tipped or X untipped? How much to tip? The cutoff for most of these is 105 for stiff... Thanks in advance guys!

I suggest the Stiff flex Axiv over any others, especially at 109mph. you could start by tipping it a quarter of an inch and play it at 45.50"

tip a half inch if needed.

Tipping not only changing the felx but also changing the torque and kick point, thus will change the charracter of the shaft.

I need to know the whole issue why you are trying to tip it first, I can't recommend any one to tip and got blame later because they can't hit it anymore. Tipping for 105mph swing is different than tipping for 109mph swing speed, but it might be same tipping if the guy who have 105 swing speed has a quick tempo swinger, but yet no need to be tipped for 109mph swing speed if he is a very smooth swinger.

I don't even know what is your swing speed, how high you hit it , etc.

Not knowing the detail of your swing and what you are looking for out of the shaft...I don't think I can't recommend to put any shafts. A good shaft is the shaft that fit w/ your swing and the club to solve or reduce the problem you have previously. $500 shaft means nothing if you got the wrong spec for your individual needs.

THX!
