golfernut78
okay, here is the full story: i've just purchased a scotty cameron newport beach on ebay. 35" model cut to 33" but was "tour tricked" and had the shaft filled with sugar. now, i've been skeptical of this, however the head is in excellent shape and had a sight line added. of the couple i could find on ebay it had a good buy now price, head looked great and had the cover. i figure worse case, the feeling sucks, and i get the sugar taken out or just reshaft. not having a scotty cameron sticker on the shaft would not hurt my feelings. plus, i went and also got a cameron dancing grip so after i figure what i am going to do, i will get that on there. FAQ
I bet this club has either been reworked, which causes it to lose value or it is fake. If it has had the sight line added that is a no-no either way.

joey3108
okay' date=' here is the full story: i've just purchased a scotty cameron newport beach on ebay. 35" model cut to 33" but was "tour tricked" and had the shaft filled with sugarW/ moist from condensation, this will make the shaft wall rust. As far as I know, tour van always has a tungsten powder in stock...why would they use sugar instead? good luck! Joe
golfernut78
I bet this club has either been reworked, which causes it to lose value or it is fake. If it has had the sight line added that is a no-no either way. it had been sent away to scotty to have the sight line added. its not a fake. the sight line was the reason i choose this one. the sugar does make me wonder a little bit, and wether in fact it is sugar. i plan to regrip the club anyways and will check it out then. i've thought of some other options to get the head weight up to 340 grams. i don't want to use lead tape though. here it is: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...AMEWN%3AIT&rd=1 i'll have it in a couple of days and give an update then.
