Srixon has finally announced their new products which include the W-505 driver, Z-Steel fairway woods, and i505 irons.

The W-505 incorporates a 5 gram weight in the sole plate. From what I can gather, this weight is fixed depending on the loft: in the toe for the 10.5*, mid-sole for the 9.5*, and in the heel for the 8.5*. I have translated the info but would like Chris to confirm this once he reads the actual info in Japanese.

The Z-Steel fairway woods feature a maraging face and mid-profile. Similar characteristics to the Gauge GAF-1 I believe?

The i505 irons look remarkably similar to the Tourstage X-Blade CBs...

Here is the page for all the info: http://golf.dunlop.co.jp/srixon/sri_club.html

Enjoy

Nice find DL although the 404's look better imho. The 505's look like a cross between the x-blade cb's and t-zoids.

Absolutely. Although I'm sure the i505s perform, i'm kind of glad there have been no takers for my i404s

Great pics, and man, does the 505 ever look like the X-Blade CB  But I like it :money:

Just a quick question, you mentioned the offset, but on the site, the face progression numbers look similar to those listed for the I-404... I took a look at the overhead pics, but can't really tell much from those, as they are a little small. Either way, they look very solid. Thanks again for the pics.

You're right, the progression numbers do look similar. I only looked at their stock photo and it just appeared that the i505 offset was more pronounced. Thanks for picking up on that.

Definitely keep the 404's they look better IMO. The irons look like a copy cat model, they look sweet but the 404 is more subtle. The driver looks interesting but its probably non-conforming but very sweet. This weight thing in clubs is getting out of hand, I guess there's nothing left to invent there at a dead end IMO. They are going to have to go back to some of the pure older stuff and refine them. There were some solid clubs 5 years ago give or take and maybe longer. Thanks Tai good find.

wow great stuff! The golf shops around here started carrying srixon stuff! they only had the w-403's and a couple hybrids, oh yeah and an i-302 3 iron, but that was about it. AT least its better than nothing. Can't wait for the new stuff

Yeah they have both models. I think the weight cannot be moved - hope Chris can confirm the details. For everyone interested, I believe Chris can order custom face angles from Srixon... The W302 and W404 were real solid drivers and I can't imagine the W505 to be anything less. I'm getting one

Wondering if anyone else has seen a pic from the face angle (not the website). Is it just me or does the shape really resemble a brick? Very weird looking.

Looks pretty similar to the W404 if you disregard the weight ports. Don't burst my bubble! I've ordered one :surprize:

Never seen the 404 from the face but the 505 really looks like a modified brick with a graphite stick attached. No matter - I'm sure it'll be up in b/s/t soon enough. Everyone knows the only club that stays in D's bag is the airmuscle
