mjf34g
Quick question. Has anyone had a chance to hit the Tourstage X-Blade CB's? I'm seriously thinking about a set to replace my TS 202's. Thnaks in advance for any feedback.
ProSpec
Sorry I don't have a lot of time right now but I'll give a really quick response. First of all they're AWESOME. Very little offset, prob. close to a Titleist 690.CB or Tourstage TS-201, yet quite forgiving. Sets up like a players blade/MB at address. Feel is butter soft as with most Tourstage irons. I think they would be a wonderful progression from the 202. I used to play the 202s and wanted less offset with all the same positives as the 202s. These are a winner. Couldn't have said it better myself. I too played the TS-202's, thought they were the best, but wanted a bit less offset and went to the X-Blade CB's and absolutely love them! I have them with the Dynamic Gold S200 shafts and they are $money$ :money: ! Bert-B
master
Mine is with NS Pro 950GH S flex. They set up nicely & give you tons of confidence. Feel is as good as any player CBs though they are not as soft as Miz MP32 , is more a soft but crisp feel & when mis**t, it doesn't feel as harsh as TS201 but you can tell which part of the club head that you've hit. They are more forgiving than TS201 & trajectory is mid to high & very accurate. I'm a TS ho & currently owe the MR23 US spec CB & the X-blade CB, want to acquire the new Viq forged, tried it & fell in love with it & is waiting for the right deal. Anybody has tried the Viq forged? Master

jroux
I got my X-Blades from scottyputters.net in Vegas and my Cb's from a guy on Ebay. Buy them you will love them.... Mine are with NSPro's -- pretty hard to beat. JR

Pretty sure a new set from Japan is gonna run ya $1000+.
dorkman53
Please correct me if I'm mistaken, but aren't they about the same as the CB part of the Bridgestone J33 Combo sets? If so, they are great in the mid and longer irons, but I wouldn't know how the short irons play

CBs is the same as the X CBs. I've heard the sole is modified on the 33s and based on a post Chris made, the X CBs were forged by Endo and the new US Bridgestone is being done at Nelson. 10-footer
Great irons! Thicker topline and more offset than the J33. A Lot more forgiving than the 201s. I think they are the most forgiving, softest cb on the market. Definitely softer than Mp 32s (but feel is different because of the blade/cut). The only problem is the offsett and thick topline. Ebay seller Oddballer (in Hawaii) always has nice sets for +/-$
ProSpec
Great irons! Â Thicker topline and more offset than the J33. Â A Lot more forgiving than the 201s. I own the Xs and have only seen/held the 33 Combo. so I might be a little off. Anyone confirm that the Xs have more offset than the 33 combos.? kong6484
Mine CB is with Project X 5.5. A lot more control than the S200, especially in the short iron.

NakedDave
I have to agree with what everyone has written so far. The only help that I could offer is that ,to me, the X-Blade CBs are a new and improved version of the old TourStage X-5000 irons. The irons are bigger than the TS-201, but they are not like shovel size. They are'nt as offset as the TS-202, but equally as forgiving. My favorite aspect of the X-Blade CBs is that they are not draw biased like so many cavity back irons on the market. FWIW, my irons have Tour Flighted Rifles 6.0 (installed by Chip Usher) which feel very smooth!
shine
the x blade cbs also resemble the new srixon 505s that chris sells
