Bat
I was just wondering how the two sets of irons compare. Also, is it just a coincidence that they look so similar? or do they have some kind of deal with each other? are the two companies related in anyway? or is it just me that find them to look so much alike? Thanks Bat Btw, I'm looking to buy a player's cavity back soon so any other suggestions will be appreciated

They def. borrow some design characteristics from the X CBs. I do not believe the companies are related. Srixon is a Dunlop company. TS is Bridgestone. Both obv. also in the tire biz. I would guess that they are competitors in both industries. Looks like a case of 'imitation is the sincerest form of flattery'.
+TourSpecGolfer
Srixon's Japan clubs are made in Japan vs the XCBs being made in China. The Srixons IMO are better performers, they are forgiving just the same as the XCB's but in a more player profile with better feel. Even the W-505 Driver is made in Japan which is weird for drivers. Literally just got done hittin' my X CBs. I'll tell ya, if these are not considered "player profile" CBs then our definitions of what that is are mighty different. Smallish head, very little offset and DEF. 'blade like' @ address. As far as feel and quality vs. Srixons... I have never hit the 505s, but if they are built better than the Xs and feel "better"... then the 505s must be simply AMAZING. btw. Chris, I thought the Xs were forged @ Endo Thailand? Guest
there's quite a few irons that look similar to the x-blade cb. some cavity bulges are more square or round but they're all the same basic design imo.

There is some confusion at the moment about Tourstage and Mizuno's foundry's. Let me start with Tourstage, I hear that the Bridgestone U.S product is coming from Nelson factory. and that the Japanese product is form Endo " China " if there is such thing or if its bad info, I cannot confirm. In regards to Mizuno, dispite what they tell me that all MP series clubs are made in Japan I have found people in the industry who are 100% posotive they are made in China. I do know for a FACT custom Mizzys are made in Japan. but the retail MP product could explain the amount of MP60s of the truck floating around everywhere for 300 bucks. Bat
Thank you for all your comments. At first, I was pretty skeptical about the build quality of Srixon clubs since Dunlop also sells low quality golf equipments. But from reading Chris's comment about the performance of these irons, I'm starting to lean towards the I-505 instead of the X-Blade CB at the moment. Just a little curious though...When you said that the I-505 has a "more player profile", what exactly are you refering to? Do they have thinner top line, smaller head, or even less offset? Also, any other suggestions for a player's cavity back? How do CG2, MP-60, or 735CB compare? Thanks again.
