I'd appreciate if any board members might be able to offer some insight in comparing these two forged irons from Mizuno.

-to play with and feel special...MP27

-to play with and still have some money for tee time, new shoes, balls, and feel special cause you are the only few one who have them on the course (this year) now...MP60

-to feel special...buy both.

Custom clubs aren't getting cheaper, be it MP27's or MP60's.

mp27s everytime.....

not only will these feel as good as the mp60s, but they will be a hell of a lot more forgiving! with the mp27s you will get the most out of your game, ie play well you will gain the tremendous feel from the forging, yet when you play bad they will not punnish you as much as the mp60s.

Also there is the bling bling factor......the mp60s will be standard everywhere shortly, whereas the mp27s are japan only and will be unique amongst any four ball!

27s will have quite a bit more offset, be a tad more forgiving and cost more.

Played MP60s for 2 rounds. Very forgiving and soft enough. Also look nicer to me than MP27s. I'd go MP60s and if not totally happy, dump them and get the MP27s.

I agree with the mp-60 camp. I think they are better looking clubs than the mp-27's, but you can't go wrong with either set.

My MP-27s have virtually the same offset as my buddy's MP-60s.

MP-27 long irons have the cavity flange sticking out when viewed from address. Otherwise pleasant.

YUCK. The 60s have that much offset? I've owned the 27s and sold 'em cause of the offset. I would have thought for sure the 60s being a more "player" CB would have less. That's too bad.

It's not really about offset. There isn't that much offset. The 27's are a little chunky from the top though. It's about forgiveness. The MP 27's are definitely one of the most forgiving irons I've played and I've played all the Callys', TourStage and more. That's the bottom line with these clubs. If you are a very good ball striker and have a low handicap then try out the 60's. If you are a mid handi and don't always pure the ball give the MP27's your shot. I have to say that I'm bias for the 27's for sure. A great club.

FAQ it seems you have good knowledge of the 27s. Would you agree with me that the 27s are in the same category as the TS-202s? Basically a little chunkier head with more offset than most true "players" CBs. Really a great compromise and marriage of a players and game improvement CB.
